Many options in the in-game ATC menu have no text on them in the Chinese and Japanese language of client.
Also, since the ATC Auto Response function in the Career mode will look up all the options listed in the background, it will not find the one option needed if that option is blank, which will cause it to not respond and lead to progression stuck.
The issues above will occur no matter the aircraft chosen and addons installed and persist in MSFS 2020 and 2024.

I have met same problem SU2 beta 1.14.18 when I play carrir mode, always several choices dis appeared in japanes, it seems that those choices of japanese translation are missing. I hope this probelms resolved next SU3
The problem is not the translation. The localization file is a plain text file that you can open with Notepad if you know where to find the file that contains all the translations.
We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.
We are wondering if this might be fixed in SU3 Beta? We are asking as our team has not been able to replicate it. Here are the scenarious we tried. If you have a use case that can help us reproduce it, feel free to respond here:
Following the steps exactly, ie Loading into the sim → Changing my language and spoken language to Japanese → Saving those settings → Close the sim → reopened the sim → entered FreeFlight → attempted to navigate through various ATC menus, to see if anything was missing
This includes stuff about Taxiing, finding runways to take off from, announcing touch & go’s, crosswinds, acknowledging squawk codes, cycling through airports frequencies, etc.
Tested at some of the airports listed in the feedback screenshots (ie Heathrow EGLL).
Tested across several different mission types (following the steps above before loading into them), such as Cargo missions, first flight, plane delivery, VIP transport.
Attempted to see if by “restart the sim” the poster might have meant returning to the main menu instead of fully restarting the sim.
Attempted to strain my PCs Wi-Fi.
Other languages, such as Korean, Chinese, German, we’re attempted during repros.
Attempted to see if changing your language without saving settings would have any effect.
Tried changing other relevant settings (such as Authentic ATC).
Jayne, has the team attempted to reproduce this while using MSFS installed on a Chinese version of Windows? I don’t know the specifics, but I’ve read about this before. It might have something to do with UTF-8 settings in Windows.
I have confimed this problem still not fixed for ja-jp in Su3 beta 1.5.3.0, I currently h use Japanese version of windows 11 24H2, so when your team using japanese version of Windows, it will be reproduce this problem.
Jayne, has the team attempted to reproduce this while using MSFS2024 after changed windows system locale(administrative language) setting to Japanese ? Because my PC’s windows administrative language is Japanese.
And, It seems that your team using system locate as United States(English) so that your teams cannot reproduce this bugs.

In addition, I find out how to reproduce this bug that, we need to change windows administrative language setting of current language for non-unicode program to “Japanese(Japan)” before start MSFS2024, as following step.
go to windown settings
Open related setting - time & language - administrative language setting
Open administrative tab, click "change system locale…” at language for non-unicode program section.
change region as “Japan(Japanese)”, and no check at “Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support”
Would you please request your team to attempt above step before start MSFS2024 ?

Jayne, Do you have any progess info for your teams this bug fix plan, Is this problem will be resolved in SU3 update? also I confirmed same bug happned in MSFS2020 SU16 1.3.9.2, caused by system locale is JNJP. Will your team plan to fix same issue for MSFS2020 also?
This bug is not only no text, but also text not representing the order it should be. For example, when I have requested IFR plan and to repeat back to ATC, I click on 重读(确认)仪表飞行许可, or ‘repeat and confirm IFR plan’, it does not actually repeat, but turn the radio to ATIS. This is in the latest SU3 beta, with Fenix A319SL and WFSS VHHH.
