Brief description of the issue:
ATR was showing an update this morning in the Content Manager but unable to install as showing the error “Minimum game version” . The MSFS version is higher than IS required.
Attempted to deinstall the aircraft and reinstall the aircraft but getting numerous notifications to say download has failed. Aircraft does not appear now in the menu.

Because I couldn’t handle the download error, I decided to uninstall (Delete) the ATR via Content Manager and wanted to reinstall it new. But while downloading the ATR, my MSFS crashed to desktop (Xbox Series X) and since then I’m not able to start the game anymore. The game makes it to the Home Screen/Dashboard, I can see that it’s trying to download something (Notification area), but crashes so fast that I can’t react or do something. So, for the moment, I completely lost my MSFS on Xbox and I hope for help now.

Not sure if it is related, but since this morning I keep getting notification of an available update in Content Manager. Yet when I look there is no update available.

I’m on PC and not on XBox and I have exactly the same problem. When I select the ATR COMMON line, I can only delete the ATR but I can’t update it. In view of the previous comments, I haven’t tried to uninstall and reinstall the ATR, as the download seems to crash. For your information, my MSFS is in French.

exactly as described. there is an “ atr common” content in my content manager from microsoft with a lot of fixes, but it warns me that a more recent version of the game is necessary for installation. using xbox SX.

It’s known issue and they are working on fixing it.

Purchased ATR 72 from the store today 16th June 2023, Downloaded, It says "Your Version of MSFS 202 is not compatible, Please update. My MSFS2020 is a updated version. Now the Game won’t star at all it crashes to Desktop in the start screen itself. I have to physically remove ATR related folder fror One store folder from file structure to make the game start.

I don’t know if this is what was intended, but all the “fix” did was remove any reference to the update which I believe was 1.0.10. On my system at least, It says I am up to date with version 1.0.8
Hey, I had the same problem! Delete your saved data on Xbox and then you should be able to access the sim again. Reinstall content that was deleted EXCEPT ATR file. That should do it.
ATR file is definitely not working…

Yes. If I try to install the “ATR Commun” file I get a CTD on XSX. There is also a notification next to the file stating a new version of the sim is needed, however I do have the latest version.

same happened to me today. In the content manager it said error next to my atr. I deleted it to reinstall it but it didn’t reinstall, nor could I start my sim meaning a full reinstall.

I’m getting the same problem - can’t update or even install ATR even after completely reinstalling the simulator. I am using AAU2. In addition, I’ve been having problems launching the simulator for two days now, as Xbox Live Sign-In issues occur when signing into the simulator, and after clicking Try again, the simulator starts. I tried all the methods mentioned in the troubleshooting tips for this error, but it didn’t work.

Since I DELETEd the ATR42/72 in Content Manager and tried to reinstall it, I can’t download anything in Marketplace and it always shows the “pending” in download page. I don’t think my ATR42/72 will come back again.
This now shows as available for installation again but the minute I try and download it, it comes up as “package failed” and then when you cancel the install it stays as pending. Only a reboot of the sim makes it available again but still no joy…sorry

similar issue. Except I have not been able to install at all on Xbox series x.

when trying to install, I receive a Package failed error message in the download status column. When I tried to restart the game, it hung on checking for updates screen. I went back and deleted reserved space file, was able to start game again, it automatically started to download deluxe addon, then I tried to install the ATR and same package failed error message came up.

Yeah, I’m having the same issue and did the same steps. Deleted the ATR, plus its folders in the main install and on the users folder and the problem remains for me as well.
