Same issue for me tried everything to get down to nitty gritty of this sound issue nothing works. Running a 13700k and a 5080. Went back to MSFS 2020 and no sound issue at all. I also agree that it seems to be when servers are loaded and certain time
If the day.
Iāve had this occur randomly a few times and I always cringe when it happens because my sim typically crashes to desktop within a second or two afterwards.
I always assumed that crackling sound to be a symptom of something far worse.
What THAT might be - I have not a clue! Glad itās logged, though!
May update my bios see if that does anything. I did see this is under investigation by the team.
I updated my bios tonight (coincidence Angus!) and installed the Realtek drivers from Asus for my motherboard and I didnāt have any crackling at all. I enjoyed a super smooth crackle and pop free flight all the way until landing when the fps dropped to 10fps for some other unknown reason. I also disabled all unecessary scenery, just in case.
I have no idea if this will help anyone or if it was just a coincidence. YMMV.
Ok good to know as Iām running a Asus Z790-E Iāll try installing the Realtek drivers from Asus thanks for the tip.
I reinstalled the audio drivers from Asus and updated my bios doing a flight now and so far so good. I also connected to a different server via VPN.
Unfortunately a fluke. Just loaded the sim and the crackling/stutters are backā¦
Seems like a cpu issue probably where itās using multi thread and itās not optimized properly. Other than that itās out of my hands lol. 2020 works no issues. VPNS are good though can connect to different servers that are not being hammered seems to help a lot with scenery loading.
I did a full flight last night with no issues. fingers crossed I get some more like that.
I rolled back to 566.36 and after several different sessions the audio static associated with latency spikes went away. After that, I decided to try the latest driver again, but this time I used the studio driver instead of game driver. Flew two different times and again no audio static. If anything changes, Iāll give an update.
