I just add them to my wish list and get them when they go on a decent sale. I would bet Orbx will have a sale on all their Australia addons when the world update releases. I have so far bought Brisbane city and airport, Sydney city and airport. All are good but Sydney hits the fps a bit. NZA simulations freeware Kalgoorlie is really good for freeware. I will probably get all capital cities with the airports and I would like to get Mackay and Ayres Rock on a sale eventually.
I’d gladly pay for YBCG, but I don’t think it was on the Orbx roadmap.
I believe the team that developed the perth airport add on listed it on a roadmap at some stage
I think Shellharbour/Wollongong Airport was a good choice, it’s got a tricky approach on the southern side and in real life is a busy airport. The surrounding area is great to fly in scenically, and aerodynamically as you will get extremely strong up and down drafts off the hills just to the west of the airport.
In fact, it may even become legendary within the sim with real world weather turned on.

Victoria is the second largest state. Melbourne the state capital is woeful at present, both the city, urban area and the Melbourne International airport. Given Melbourne will soon overtake Sydney as the most populous city, it has been totally neglected. I think there is a marketing thing going on here. The tropical north, Sydney and out of the way international icons such as Ularu are depicted well already because they help sell the sim. As a flight simmer since early 80’s I’ve been terribly disappointed. To rub salt in to the wound, my home town airport of Bendigo attached to a city of 120,000 population, 150km north of Melbourne and with direct Qantas flights to Sydney is missing all together from the sim. If this isn’t rectified in the World Update then it will show that the sim is just a glossy scenery sim and not attempting to be anything like the real world. We will see. I hope they get it right. I have had so much hope for this sim, invested lot of time and money, so this update will reflect what I do going forward. (PS I think they will get it right… I can’t believe they will leave Victoria so neglected)

Victoria is one of the smallest states if not the smallest. You must mean population.
Melbourne will NOT overtake Sydney as the most populous city that’s old data, thanks to Covid the figures for 2021 are Melbourne Growth 3% and Sydney 3.8% with Sydney having a larger population already Melbourne has no hope of catching up unless things change in the coming years.
I agree Victoria is very under represented in MSFS and would like to see someone competent do YMML at least.
As a north QLDer i am quite happy at the progress in this neck of the woods.

I use XMapsy V3 to connect MSFS to OzRunways running on my iPad.

Good thing I stopped myself from buying the Orbx cities except Sydney.
I’m sure the PG cities won’t be as good as the handcrafted ones but I’ll be saving a lot of money.
Also, since Orbx did all POI’s, so did they reuse some of the buildings from their city packs into this world update? They did it before for Frankfurt for the Germany world update.

I hope at the very least they fix the airports that are supposed to have jetways and buildings, but don’t currently in the sim.
