Autopilot not working in C208

I am trying to engage the autopilot in the C208 at the moment, but it is not working. I click HDG and it lights up and deselects after half a second.
Its the same with all the other buttons. I cannot engage the autopilot at all at the moment.

Has anyone had that and know a solution for it?

What’s your configuration? AP works generally although it has deficiencies that are being worked. Can you elaborate on what’s going on and how the aircraft is set?

normally you engage autopilot by pressing AP not HDG or other, those are mode selectors. try pressing AP and then select the modes you want and see if that works… For me the autopilot works very well in the C208, except for FLC, which has some issues, the rest works ok

Cruise at around 15000 feet, light are on, not the landing light.
It doesnt matter if CDI is on FMS, NAV1 or NAV2.
The autopilot buttons are triggered and immediately triggered again and nothing works. You can even see the hdg to be set for a second in the PFD, before being unset by something. I checked all keybindings and the only thing set to something is the yoke, to autopilot master, but that is not being triggered.

I tried pressing AP first, but AP is not being activated. I even tried the keyboard-bind with Z, but also no joy. It was working on the previous flight. And I havent done anything, except for getting the plane back to cold and dark and then resuming now.

Working fine here…

I have noticed one bug though… If I press keys that don’t actually do anything with my current plane, it brakes the system…
I once hit the key h and my autopilot didn’t work any more… :man_shrugging:t2:
(Avoid pressing wrong keys maybe(?))

That would fit. I left the game for an hour for something to eat, while the plane was at a destination B Cold and Dark. Than continued and flew the second leg, but Autopilot wasnt working anymore. In the meantime I put the keyboard aside, so surely some buttons have been pressed.

Might take a look at this thread. It seems to be helping a lot of these types and errors.

That might help, but not acceptable. I want all the traffic.
In my case it’s working 99% of time, but there is a bug that should be fixed.
Turning traffic OFF is not an answer.

It’s not intended as a fix. Fixes only come from the developers.
But it’s an option for those folks That were having so much difficulty with the sim that it was fairly unusable. If you don’t like this workaround don’t use it and wait for the hot fixes Asobo said they’re working on.

Ummm… That’s what I said. I have no reason to use it… Please tell me more I don’t have to use, ok?
