I have also encountered this issue with the C208 with AAU2.

Community folder has been emptied & issue still exists.

I happened to be flying in PNG - should probably confirm somewhere else.

Issue replicated at NZWN.

Tried (Right-Alt click on MFD) an external MFD view in a separate window - issue does not occur - AP is functional.

Closed the exported MFD and exported the PFD (Right-Alt click on PFD) to an external PFD view in a separate window - issue does not occur - AP is functional.

Closed the exported PFD - issue is back.

During the issue, the AP seems to act almost as if it is ROL, PIT mode. It will fly past any waypoints without initiating turns, it will fly past Alt restrictions without any elevator change. Returning to a cockpit view results in immediate AP actions to return to the FP, both laterally and vertically.

Hi PingNZ, and thank you for adding to this and voting.

I have definitely seen the problem occur with the C208, and from posts over the last couple of days it seems it is happening with all kinds of aircraft, including the 747 and 787.

Hopefully this will soon get noticed and resolved.

On external view, after AP engaged, aircraft stop folow flight plane on NAV mode, or follow a course on HDG mode.
when switching to cockpit view, AP is fully function.
Its happend with every aircraft I tested.
(I’m not a Beta tester)/
Have opened Bug Report #194164.

Yes, for me too. This happens in many planes. Very annoying to fly and look around.

Thank you to the three new posters in the last few hours. Sorry to see this is affecting so many, but hopefully now raised it will be resolved.

Do please add votes if you haven’t already, and share links to this thread if you see the problem raised in other groups and platforms.

This work-around doesn’t work work for me

After the upgrade, I began experiencing this issue. Submitted a bug report. Hoping for a quick fix. Doesn’t matter what plane I fly, same problem as everyone else.

Welcome to the group Dillon3000, and thank you for posting and voting.

I agree, this has caused lots of problems for a lot of users and been very slow to get resolved.

This issue doesn’t affect PMDG B737 from my experience

Doesn’t affect Captain Sim B777 either
oooh the irony

I’m also facing the same issues. Though this occured to me only when using G1000 and G3000 equiped planes like the DA62, SWS Kodiak and the Longitude. Rest of the planes like the CJ4, FBW A320 and PMDG 737 works fine. I guess we’ll have to stay inside the cockpit untill this issue is resolved.

Hi ChickenTikka, and thanks for posting.

I am not sure if it affects all aircraft, or only those with Garmin avionics. Some posters have said their airliners seem to be unaffected, but others have reported problems with the 747 and 787.

As I mentioned earlier, it doesn’t happen to me at every single waypoint in garmin-equipped aircraft, although it does happen fairly frequently. Perhaps those who seem unaffected just haven’t been affected yet

Anyway, it has now been noted by the mods and developers, so hopefully it can be resolved. In the meantime, if you see any others reporting the same, do please encourage them to comment on this thread and add their votes.

Cheers,
MagicQ.
