I have a feeling people keep forgeting that MSFS is a cloud based game that transfers gianormous amounts of data to its players, and running all those servers costs a lot of money.
We are already getting free world updates, isn’t that enough? Microsoft / Asobo aren’t a charity, and when the numbers don’t come in, it’s lights out. Selling add-on aircraft supports sustaining the sim. Remember that.
Also, you are blowing out of proportion how many people have actual problems with SU5. Apart from the LOD popping, which isn’t as bad as it seemed at first, I haven’t had any issues with the update. Works perfectly fine. And I’m pretty sure it’s the same for most people, despite the vocal crowd here.
Yeah, 3rd party add-ons had some issues with introduced incompatibilities, but these are to be expected with major changes to the architecture of the sim, and they are being resolved as we speak.
Ah, thank you! Last night I only tried the “hamburger” button when I was on a different page. Being able to set up the map is a big plus. I am starting to really like this plane’s panel …
Don’t put words in my mouth. I didn’t say non-existent. Of course quite a few people have actual problems with SU5. That much is clear.
But it would foolish to give an aircraft away to 100% of your customers, that was quite a bit of work to create I’m sure, just to extinguish the torches and lower the pitch forks of a minority of customers who do have problems and who, let’s admit it, have been less than graceful about the whole situation.
Perhaps we should keep the discussion focused on the topic, which is the Aviat Husky A-1C instead of trying to turn it into another thread about the sim update, of which there are plenty already.
The aircraft isn’t free, and Microsoft (by way of Jorg) already stated very clearly (and multiple times) that the price of Microsoft-published aircraft will be kept as low as possible but they can’t be free because there are license fees to pay and other parties involved.
So demanding this to be free, for whatever reason you think you have, is moot. It isn’t free and it won’t be.
If you don’t have anything to say specifically about the husky, may want to look for a topic dedicated to what you have to say and post it there.
I find it a little under powered too based on the 140mph cruise speed for the 200hp referenced on the Aviat website. I’d like a wind gauge too, but other than that, I’m really enjoying it.
Unpopular opinion: Aircraft should come with whatever their developers want to include, and we as customers can decide whether that’s the option or options we want, and either buy it, or not.
Arbitrary blanket rules that no one can enforce never work.
I agree with this 100%… Most not all, but most add-on developers put their heart and soul into their work. Its not always going to please everyone, but we are free not buy it as I would hope most did with the CS777
