ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

  1. Fuel gauges show 100% full regardless of amount loaded via EFB, and shows no drop in level from 100% full regardless of length of flight.
  2. Once, cowl flaps are open, even if closed - remain in the open position on the external model.
  3. The G1000 references the old Asobo G1000 and not the new Working Title version.
  4. Body panel wear on the exterior model is a nice detail, but over done.

Beechcraft Baron G58. G1000 menus missing, cowl flaps and lights
G58 Cowl Flaps not animated

I did not find any report for that issue

Is it a bug ?

Still open items none of them solved. To add annoying flaps speed bug

Point #1: fuel gauges worked in the test I just did
Point #2: cowl flaps are fixed
Point #3: seems G1000 not updated to WT version (cannot access Lean & System options)
Point #4: not sure what OP is referring to

What this issue is about to ?, did not find any report.

Thanks and maybe more in detail:

Issue 1: in career mode you get dinged when using flaps 2 position if above 80 knots but 90 knots +/- is the landing speed. So this is a bug. Reported since march and no fix.

Issue 2: Speed scale where you see the white band is incorrect at least not the part around 70 knots.

Issue 3: Again Career mode: Try to manage any fuel level. You will start with full tanks. Doesn’t matter what refueling or refuelling you have done. It doesn’t even take into consideration what the mission automatically is calculating… Which BTW is wrong too

Issue 4: Have you ever flown the Baron IRL? How can it be correct to reach VR speed in around 8 seconds and then be able to climb steady with 5000ft per minute or even higher?

Issue 5: Garmin 1000 doesn’t let you programs user way points like ICLB … But when in the air suddenly it is possible to program e.g PTRN1 or BASE or FINAL… Another bug BTW applicable to all Garmin G1000 Cockpits

Issue 6: The thrust amount or HG is wrong again, when in green zone the plane behaves like a space shuttle. When literally on the low white figures suddenly decreases speed. Like you would be pressing a brake pedal. This is not correct and doesn’t correspond to real life at all.

Issue 7: COWL Flaps: great fixed? Not at all because closing the cowl flaps and running at full throttle plus hot and high takeoff would show an increment of the oil temperature. This is not the case, basically nothing happens if you open or close them.

Issue 8: Pressurization switches do not work. Select them and you will note that out of the 4, three of them go back to off. Unable to switch them on.

What I dont understand is that this is a basic Asobo plane and there are literally so many bugs which are obvious that I need to think that nobody of the devs tested it on any simulated flight nor career mode. It is so obvious that they would have figured it out in one single flight…

Can I ask you how you tested this plane? A short full flight or just spawned mid air . Because I am seriously wondering how you did not found it spectacular that this Lycoming Powered Twin has a much better take off performance than a PC24…?

Thank you for the detailed list :+1:.
Maybe some of those issues have already been reported, see the list of open reports: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/search?q=%23bugs%20tags%3Abeech-baron-g58%2Bmsfs-2024%20status%3Aopen
If not and if you wish, feel free to create new reports (1 issue per report).

I’ve tested again in free flight, and in effect, even if prior starting a flight you configure the tanks with for example half of the capacity, when you start the flight tanks are full so this is an issue. Did the same test with the G36 and fuel quantity is respected.
Report created: Beech Baron G58 - Incorrect fuel quantities loaded upon spawning

No, never flew that aircraft IRL. See related report: Beechcraft Baron takeoff power

What has been fixed is the animation. New report should be created reporting missing effects on the engine having them closed or opened

We are volunteer moderators not part of Asobo team so don’t know at all the testing process devs/QA team are going through.
