Russ, your description is spot on to what I have been experiencing, including the comparison to a Cessna 172 which is why I adopted to G58 as my favourite plane to fly in the first place.
I have spent the last couple of weeks trying to re-learn how to fly the G58 to avoid sloppy take-offs, and landings with difficult sink rates to overcome, neither of which I experienced prior to the update, nor in the 2 years flying this aircraft on MSFS 2020.
