Hi everyone, My name is Stephan. Over the last few months, I have dedicated a lot of my free time and late nights to a passion project of mine: BeAPilot, a modern, standalone career client for MSFS 2024.
A few weeks ago, we ran a very successful Closed Beta. First of all: A massive THANK YOU to the early testers! Thanks to your incredible feedback, we completely overhauled the economy, squashed bugs, and added some of the most requested features.
Today, I am incredibly excited to announce that BeAPilot is officially entering OPEN BETA (v0.2.1)! No more applications, no more waiting lists – everyone is welcome to download the app and start their aviation career today.
What is BeAPilot? BeAPilot is designed to give your flying purpose. While there are other great career tools out there, my main focus has been on creating a modern, intuitive, and clean UI/UX while retaining deep simulation features.
Here is what you can expect from the core gameplay:

Flight School: A complete progression system. Start with zero knowledge, learn the theory, pass practical exams, and earn your visual licenses (SPL, PPL, CPL, ATP). -
Career Mode: You don’t start as a CEO; you start as an employee. Apply to airlines (Passenger or Cargo), fly their aircraft, and earn a wage and reputation. -
Aircraft Ownership & Rentals: Save up to buy your own fleet. You are responsible for refueling, repairs, and maintenance. Alternatively, rent aircraft using our realistic deposit and hourly-billing system. -
Hangar System: Buy and manage hangars at different airports. Upgrade them to store larger or more aircraft. -
Progression & Skills: Earn XP, Money, and Reputation. Invest in an RPG-style Skill Tree to unlock bonuses (e.g., higher payouts). -
Interactive Flight Overlay: Track your position, monitor your fuel, and get your flights validated seamlessly (including landing rate tracking!). SimRate acceleration is fully supported for long-haul flights.

SimBrief Integration: Flight planning is now seamless. Send your job data directly to SimBrief with a single click. -
Custom Add-on Support: Want to fly the PMDG 737 or the FBW A380? You can now manually add custom add-on aircraft to your database, automatically pulling base weights via SimConnect. -
Specialized Flying: Apply for jobs at specialized companies (like Kenai Floatplane Tours) for dedicated floatplane and ski-plane operations. -
Live Flight Rules System: A real-time digital instructor panel tracks your airmanship during flight (Beacon on engine start, landing lights below 10k ft) to help you fly like a pro. -
Immersion Upgrades: Get Live METAR weather briefings before you step into the cockpit.
