Hi all, I have been using the C90 a lot lately. Really nice plane. It is all working fine for me.
In cruise at FL300 how fast can you get it to go? I can only get it up to about 180Kt.
I think it is supposed to go faster, I have tried many combinations but can’t get any more speed out of it (in level flight).
Anyone get it to cruise faster?
the higher you go, the lower your indicated speed will be. look at you true airspeed, it should be about 270 i think. still going pretty quick.
Ah I see. Many thanks! I can’t see the True air speed on the PFD. May need to turn this on. I just found some information on how to use the Rockwell Collins Proline 21 system. Particularly this one is useful. Proline 21 Quickreference | PDF | Altimeter | Menu (Computing)
Thanks. Yeah I have that, but good to reference here for others.
Looking through these resources, It seems the Proline 21 does not calculate the true airspeed for you. So I guess you need to calculate it.
I’m also flying the C90 and don’t see true airspeed or ground speed readouts. I spent 30 minutes fiddling with the avionics, but couldn’t figure out how to see this information. Am I missing something or does it not display TAS/GS? Very basic information!
I had the same problem. It seems that the avionics just does not show the true air speed. But if you can go to the external view MSFS can calculate it for you.
Actually I was wrong. You can see the ground speed in the FMS under the Perf/Fuel Mgmt menu.
And in IDX / PROG / Page 2
