Brief description of the issue:
ATC stopped audibly and visually communicating instructions mid-flight. Co-pilot continued to acknowledge instructions even though none are visually or audibly given.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
No specific steps were taken to produce issue other than conducting a normal flight (KORD-FAOR). Issue occurred about 45 minutes into the flight. Switching COMM tabs in the ATC box results in being able to see the ATC instructions again, but still not able to receive audibly other than co-pilot responding and acknowledging.
