Better Multi / Triple Monitor Support (2024)

I am sending this email (and probably representing thousands of other MSFS 2024 users) as a long-time multi-monitor user of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/2024. I am raising a serious concern about the current MSFS 2024 multi-monitor alignment system.

In MSFS 2020, monitor alignment could be performed accurately and efficiently using clear, live visual references. In MSFS 2024, however, the configuration interface intentionally blurs the outer render windows while adjustments are trying to be made. This makes precise alignment nearly impossible. Users must repeatedly exit the settings menu to check changes, turning what should be a simple calibration process into a frustrating trial-and-error loop. I am not alone in this frustration as I have seen this issue raised numerous times in Chat Groups with no solution offered.

For those of us who invest in dedicated three-screen cockpit setups, proper geometric alignment is not optional. It is fundamental to realism and usability. The current UI design prevents accurate alignment and represents a significant regression from MSFS 2020.

On behalf of many users I respectfully request the following improvements:

  1. Disable the blur on the outside/flanking render windows while in multi-monitor configuration to allow real-time adjustment without the present visual degradation.

  2. Provide a sharp, static reference grid or alignment overlay

  3. Restore functionality comparable to MSFS 2020

Thousands of serious simmers rely on multi-monitor configurations. I’m asking that this issue be prioritized so the simulator can meet the expectations of advanced users and cockpit builders.

I appreciate your continued development efforts and hope this concern receives prompt attention.
