Using a product like AM called “Panel Builder”. But like you said about AM it requires “programming” ** and is a kludgy arrangement/solution. Perhaps someday Asobo will address the several “wish lists” on this issue and restore breakout windows into Microsoft Flight Simulator.
** Actually it is not programming as in lines of code like in AM. It is just selecting options in drop-downs, check boxes, entering data (like max rpm) – so is way easier to create an instrument than AM. Also, like AM, there are importable instruments from other creators.
