Update: Sorry, I see this answer was already provided. My phone had not refreshed.

I’ve not had that happen (yet anyway).

Minor Update 1.6.58.EA
:airplane_arrival: Flight Handling and Approaches

  • Improved altitude calculations and ILS vectoring distances on approach to avoid scenarios where aircraft felt like they were “sent away” from the airport.

  • Enhanced approach assignment logic to better select non-ILS approaches when appropriate, ensuring smoother transitions from STARs.

:sun_behind_rain_cloud: METAR and Runway Assignments

  • Fixed visual conditions detection in ICAO regions, enabling reliable visual approach requests.

  • Added verification to ensure global METAR downloads complete before performing initial runway assignments, reducing mismatches after restarting BeyondATC.

:globe_with_meridians: AIRAC and Airline Data

  • Updated procedure and navaid pronunciations for AIRAC 2505 and 2506, improving spoken guidance accuracy.

  • Refreshed airline and virtual airline callsigns with the latest datasets.

:airplane: Traffic Management

  • Extensive refactor of traffic code to reduce main thread blocking, offering substantial stutter reductions for users with stable FPS.

  • Injected traffic now uses sim-calculated ground speeds, providing more realistic speeds aligned with the player’s IAS. (This still has some issues)

  • Expanded visible traffic range to 100 NM (from 50 NM) for aircraft above 20,000 ft, enhancing enroute traffic awareness.

  • Updated AIG registration mappings to align with recent AIG package additions; mappings only apply if AIG is priority 1, ensuring compatibility with FSLTL and FS Traffic priority settings.

  • Improved traffic startup performance, significantly reducing load times at flight start.

  • Enhanced parking assignment logic for better gate matching based on aircraft size and data.

:vertical_traffic_light: Taxi and Runway Operations

  • Fixed hold short nodes on taxi maps not displaying consistently.

  • Corrected bugs in runway change handling, ensuring accurate ATC responses during active runway updates.

:collision: Stability and Fatal Errors

  • Resolved multiple fatal error sources, including null exceptions at flight start and crashes related to the frequency manager, traffic injection, and METAR downloads.

  • Introduced BeyondATC_ForceDirectX12.bat in the install folder for users experiencing performance issues with Vulkan. Similar to OpenGL and DX11 core options.

:airplane_departure: Airport Operations (Complex Flows)

  • Significant expansion of complex, flow-based airport operations, with detailed runway configurations responsive to wind, time, day, and aircraft type.

  • New ops for: CYHM, CYYJ, KAMA, KAPA, KBIS, KCHS, KCMH, KCOS, KGRR, KLBB, KMLB, KPNS, KPWM, KSRQ, KSWF.

  • Complex flows added for: AYPY, BIKF, CYEG, CYUL, CYVR, CYWG, CYYC, DTTA, EBBR, EGCC, EHAM, EIDW, EKCH, FAOR, HAAB, HECA, KABQ, KATL, KAUS, KBNA, KBOS, KBUF, KBUR, KBWI, KCLT, KCVG, KDCA, KDEN, KDTW, KELP, KEWR, KFAR, KFLL, KGFK, KHOU, KHPN, KIAD, KIAH, KICT, KIND, KLAS, KLAX, KLGA, KLGB, KMCI, KMDW, KMEM, KMIA, KMSP, KMSY, KOAK, KOMA, KORD, KORF, KPBI, KPHL, KPHX, KPIT, KPVD, KRDU, KRIC, KRNO, KROC, KSAT, KSAV, KSDF, KSEA, KSJC, KSLC, KSTL, KTPA, KTUS, LEBL, LEMG, LFBD, LFBO, LFLL, LFML, LFPG, LGKR, LHBP, LIRN, LJLJ, LROP, LTFM, LWSK, LYNI, LYPG, LYTV, LZIB, MMMX, MRLB, MROC, MYNN, NTAA, NZQN, OERK, OMDB, OTHH, PANC, PHLI, PHOG, PHTO, RJFF, RKPC, SBBE, SBGL, SBSP, SBSV, SBVT, SKBO, SKRG, ULLI, VTBD, WIII, YSCB, ZSPD.

:newspaper: Message of the Day

Added a new Message of the Day feature, displaying important updates on the initial BeyondATC screen so users stay informed about critical changes.

NOTAM: GSX integration currently is INOP in the EA build while it continues to improve.

Yes, I have instant CTD with BATC in latest SU3 beta

Fine update.
Not noticing freezes in traffic flow like before.
It doesn’t appear to be as smooth as before, like it’s skipping a frame but maybe it’s because of frame generation. I usually run BATC in 30fps because I can gain 2-3fps. Doesn’t get smoother with 60fps in BATC. But it’s just from a couple a flights of testing.
I prefer the jitters than the freezes.

All seems good latest EA update, however, can anyone confirm clicking on “message of the day” results in a crash of the program?

After update yesterday, handed off to Phoenix approach at 35,000 ft. Lovely.

it’s a small bug that will be fixed

Yep. Same here.

Well here’s something interesting I just found. I did a search on my computer for “simconnect” and there are tons of copies of .dll files with simconnect in their name. I looked at the dates for all of them and the simconnect.dll in the BeyondATC folder has a date of the 28th of June which I believe is BATC’s latest update date. Most other copies of that .dll have May 24th as their date. Now did BATC get a newer version that is now stable or did the date just get changed in their install file? I’ve had people tell me that BATC is now working for them.

Don’t think so. Here a report to avoid BATC as well

Yeah I tested it earlier today with what I believed to be a safe plane, the Cessna 172, and as soon as I hit Fly in BATC my sim crashed with no report but good news is we have news of an upcoming update dealing with the simconnect issue.

That update for SU3 Beta is out now (1.5.12.0) and does seem to correct the Simconnect issue. BATC no longer crashes the sim (and my beloved PMDG 777s seem to be working properly again too).

BATC Worked like a champ until something was updated and now all I get is this. Tried it again this morning on a PC with the latest beta.

What if you simply paid for the base package? Of the hundreds of enhancements pushed out to the EA release, not a single one of those is worthy for those of us with the base package? Not looking for a magical box of chocolates, simply had expected that as a paying customer, at least there would be a few updates to the base package by now, given the flurry of releases for the EA version.

The BASE package is the EA version.

The next tier is the EXPERIMENTAL version, or some call it the SUPPORTER version. It costs more but you get each change and update early to play with.

They released an EA update just late last week after two months without any.

EA is 100% equal to Experimental now, except for the GSX-integration.

It sounds like something you take for a gassy stomach. What is it?
