Biting the bullet and migrating from Xbox to PC - A Journal

I’ve been out of town for the last week+ and now back at home with my PC. This thread intrigued me so I tried a flight from EBBR->EDDB at 30000ft with my 7900x3d. Full disclosure - my cpu is OC’d and I have an air cooler (Peerless Assassin 120) but its never impacted temps much. I used a high performance thermal paste (Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut).

During the flight the the temps 98% of the time were between 60c - 75c with spikes up to 85c. This is definitely higher than normal.

To compare, I did a flight from Heathrow to London City airport so a very detailed area. This time, my temps were very consistently between 60c - 65c 99.99% of the time with just a couple of spikes to 70c.

So my take is that something is definitely going on with the MSFS code/photogrammetry over Germany which causes higher than normal cpu temps. These higher temps are not caused by any local PC issues.
