Guess you better fill me in then. Why do you think the TBM was announced after the Duke but is coming first?
Another Dev has announced a range of officially licensed TBM’s and BS obviously wanted to get their one out first before the market is gone. Makes no sense why 2 really good non Market Place bound devs would overlap like this unless they had already invested considerable time into it before realising there was another one. I guess it can happen and IMHO is the reason it’s been brought forward before the Dukes.
I’d say you’re probably 100% right. I would imagine it’s a fine line between wanting to keep your projects underwraps until you’re somewhat into the process and talking with other Devs to see who’s doing what.
We just saw it with CYUL, we went from none to 4 Devs ready to release.
Here’s a link to a short but detailed update on the development of the Black Square Duke’s. This comes direct from Nick, the developer. Here are some shots that feature in the update here too. Hope you enjoy the update and the shots. Those EFB screenshots deserve special attention. Black Square raising the bar again…
Hey, this looks really good ![]()
It looks like the dev has been listening to a lot of our comments in the TBM 850 thread too. An EFB (looks great) and Boris audio sounds. Fantastic. Hope these make it to the TBM as well.
Toughest problem I think here will be deciding whether to get the Piston or the Turbine version. Probably won’t be cheap I guess based on the other BS aircraft but as with other BS addons always worth the purchase. Looking forward to March. In the meantime I will read up on the Duke in anticipation.
Looks fabulous.
There will be an option to buy both as part of a bundle. Enables you to get both at a cheaper price if that floats your boat.
Yes, that could work. I wouldn’t have to make a difficult decision then ![]()
wow incredible !!!
sound so promising !!! this article give us so MUCH information thanks !!! I would like so much to say ''I can’t wait" to see like the FOD (foreign object damage) been integrated to previous aircraft, but hearing about all those news features on the Duke EFB, reciprocating engine simulation etc ! I just don’t want to urge Nick, and be patient.
I try to keep in mind some feature may not be applicable on the overhaul BS series due to initial 3d model limit anyway
finger crossed I may be wrong
One step at once !
I literally cant wait!
Man … such sool features for one of the ugliest airplanes ever created. The Duke is one of those planes that simply doesn’t look right from any angle. The Fiat Multipla of the skies. ![]()
MSFS is an absolute gold mine for GA lovers!
The turbine duke is a beast

Estimated Time En Route to Next Waypoint
The estimated time en route (ETE) page contains three pieces of data:
• The waypoint identifier
• The estimated time en route to the current waypoint
• The distance to waypoint.
The waypoint identifier displays in the upper left hand corner of the
screen. The estimated time en route displays on the lower right hand side,
and the distance to the waypoint is just below the waypoint identifier. The
display continuously updates according to changes in speed and course.
keep in mind this product will just enter it s beta phase so it s still not finish, adjustments / fixs are required like this 1hour and 68 min inconsistency ![]()
Fabulous, Can’t wait for these to release. trouble is how will i decide what to fly now? ![]()
I thought I was not going to buy another GA plane for a while because I still have plenty to fly and learn.
But Boris’ sounds and a working KLN90 are just too good to resist.
Take my money Just Flight, once again.
Yes, they are providing us with some great quality products aren’t they?
The TBM, Vulcan and now we have these two beauties to look forward to.
