It looks like you just dialed in the 15000 ft but not “ordered” the ap to climb.
Steps for me are:
- Fly in ALT Mod at X altitude.
- Select new ALT of Y with either the knob or the up/down buttons.
- Press “Alt”
- select VS with up/down button.

thanks Jay!
Curious that i didn´t touch the Autopilot / Altitude
Suddenly 15.000 was there.
going to try as you said. appreciate.
And during Climb/Descent you can change the new altitude as long as you see “VS/ALT” in the AP Panel. If the AP is already in ALT Capture Mode, around 250 ft before reaching the armed Altitude and you only see a “ALT” in the AP Panel changing the Altitude will have no effect untill you press ALT Button again.
thanks again for all the tips.
[quote] got his one as well.

There is an updated version in scribd, with the update for the EX version, but sadly it’s only available for registered users:
I’ve been searching it for ages but I only found a copy on ebay and it didn’t seem very legit. In Flightsafety isn’t available anymore.
While I’ve never flown a Caravan in real life, I was previously rated on the Dash 8-100/200 and Q400. In these planes, power changes are almost instant. There’s way too much lag in the sim regarding turboprops, so something is definitely off. Torque response should be on par with a turbofan.
I will be buying the King Air version the minute it is released. My favorite plane of all time, but I struggle with the Asobo G3X. I fly in VR and steam gauges are much easier to read. Actually, steam plus the TDS GTNxi 750 are perfect. Just like the 310R and 414aw.
I merged my two ANALOG Mods into one “ANALOG CARAVAN - Improvement Mod”.
Latest Version includes some fixes to the NG and Fuel Flow Gauge, also I reworked the engine.cfg so that there isnt that big lag, when you try to get quickly from low rpm to high rpm at a go around for instance. Also did a first pass on fuel flow adjustments, to match the poh.
I like this version very much now
I am not a specialist, but during the short test flight of LGAX-LGTS the ITT was permanently in the yellow range.
The rest always nicely in the green area…
ITT will be tuned down again.
Hey, JayDee, I really like what you are doing with your Caravan mods - they greatly improve the Analog Caravan! Thanks a lot! (cf your PayPal account ) However I noticed that in the latest version you have increased the empty weight. I suppose to account for the weight of the cargo pod? According to the Cessna brochures from their website the pod weighs 160lbs. Wouldn’t it be better then to just add these to the original 4570 lbs then?
Keep up your fantastic work - you’re making a good steam gauge plane even better!
Thanks for your hard work JayDee, much appreciated!
Thank you so much JD. Glad to see the fix on the long lag of low to high rpm. Thank you.
I had no reliable info on the cargo pod weight. Thanks for the info. Do you still have a link by any chance? I will of course change it to just add these 160 lbs.
Thx for the mod JD. Cant fly the analog Caravan without it.
Hi JD,
thanks for your effort.
