Black Square Steam Gauge Overhaul - Cessna 208B Caravan

Perhaps we could separate the threads for the caravan and King Air, @FurnishedBird22 ?

would be a good idea, just wait till it launches probably someone will create a new topic anyways
since the king air will be a more popular release than the caravan

The King Air will not have any FMS or am i wrong ?

A little over two minutes into the video and a bug. A 24 VDC battery does not show 26-28 VDC during the battery test. You are looking for 23 VDC minimum and that is before the battery switch is turned on. Per steps 12 and 13 of section 4 Normal Procedures, Preflight Inspection checklist. You want a 24 VDC battery on a 28 VDC system so that the generators will take over the electrical system and the generators will recharge the battery.

Owners of the Analog Grand Caravan will have access to a discount for the coming King Air.

Not bad

Great news! Do Black Square have some Discord or similar social media presence where they announce such things?

source for this?

But most importantly, do the doors open finally?? That’s a huge issue with the default model. How do you even get in the plane if you can’t open the door? All AC addons have doors except the default ones. With the attention to detail in this new mods I’m hoping they finally solved this glaring issue

Weird that they list the pricing as $38.99/€33.95, while currently Dollars and Euros are nearly 1-1.

I watched the vid and have seen enought to guarantee me putting my hand in my pocket for this one. Love the Caravan but have noticed that occasionally, on a GPS routing that the 208 fishtails a bit on a few turns at waypoints which could maybe do with a bit of AP tightening, though it is easy enough to live with overall.

l suggest you to use the magnifying glass on top and type “door” with - search in this topic value …

Any updates?

in the time it took you take the effort respond without giving an actual answer, you could have given the actual answer (if you knew it). which is better in this case?

brother you already know the door do not open. Cant undestand how that is important for the simulation.
Do you stay on the hangar opening and closing the door? Or you actually fly the plane!? Move on man

If thats so important for you, maybe try another plane.

No they don’t, not that we’re aware. Pretty much a one-man band too.

No not at the moment. We’re waiting to hear from the developer. Expecting an update in the morning. I’ll then aim to give you an update.

I’m happily flying around in the Caravan at the moment. Getting more used to it and I’m focussing on the way the autopilot works because I have to get my coffee during the flight. However I noticed, using the Bendix King Kap 140, when I want to go up or down it doesn’t show the numbers, like 100 ft up or down. But is does act and goes to the altitude I set. I’m typing this while inflight so it could be an issue with the livery I’m using (D-FIDT from flightsim.to) as I didn’t have this ‘issue’ in the standard liveries.

VS is shown during a short time after you hit the key, then the kp140 show the target alt
quote a previous post

And during Climb/Descent you can change the new altitude as long as you see “VS/ALT” in the AP Panel. If the AP is already in ALT Capture Mode, around 250 ft before reaching the armed Altitude and you only see a “ALT” in the AP Panel changing the Altitude will have no effect untill you press ALT Button again."

so you have to unselect altitud mode ,then you ll see the VS and use the up or down key tu set the rate of climb (or descent)
