Black Square Steam Gauge Overhaul - King Air 350i

Good find. Thanks for sharing. :+1:

Hi guys,
looking for some advice. Today I started up the King Air the first time.
At first I forgot to disengage the starters, which is why I took very long until I put on the generators at which point I drained the battery to 20 volts.

No once I got both generatos connected, reset and both indication a positive eual load. I fired up the inverters and put on the avoinics master.

No something strange happened.

AFter about 30 the whole electrics shut dowen with all voltage indications staying at zero (however the engines still idling). I tried reconnecting the generators but that didnt work. Only connecvting the ground power got the system back to life.

but after connecting the generators and disconnecting the ground power, after 30 seconds the all electical power was lost again.

What did I do wrong? Even reseting all faults didnt help.

Ah and next thing is there nay performance calculator for takeoff runway, speeds and clanding? Some charts would be fine too.

Thanks a lot. Good find.

there is so many stuff that may not be fully well done , like alternator reset after turning back gen bus tie to normal (leaving the open position wich is battery only), inverter not on, starter still running … the first line on the annunciator panel above the leveller shouldn’t show any yellow alert , don’t hesitate to reset the bus “gen tie man close” then the alternators L & R by lifting them up
be sure you don’t have any faillure in the weather radar module regarding the generator or battery

Bought this airplane today and while the overall first impression is pretty good, the click spots for the lower instrument panel in VR are by far the worst of any airplane I bought so far.

Hope this will be improved in a future patch since it can be pretty infuriating not being able to move a switch without messing around with the camera position…

Did you ever figure this out? I also can’t figure out how to have the Autopilot use Nav2 as the nav source when the avionics are set to use the PMS GTN 750 + WTT.

Now this plane has autofeathering and a test system for that. But being just a flightsimmer I do not know the use for the system at all. So, for the ones like me:

Nop, if you ever figure it out plz tell

Hi, I might well be approaching (no pun intended) this wrong but …

When on an ILS approach I try to fly at 120kts. The autopilot captures the glideslope and goes into CPL (think it was that, not in front of PC currently). The aircraft will drop 1 or 2 full dots on the glideslope and cannot keep up with it? It’s trying to manage the glideslope descent but is obviously struggling.

Am I flying too slow? Is there a trick I’m not using? Any help more than welcome.

Thanks

I dont think there is, but I wanted to just double check… Is there any way to have a different starting state from cold and dark! This overhaul is amazing, but sometimes I dont want to spend 20 minutes setting everything up and testing everything on the checklists. Please dont shoot me, I know its study level and this is what its all about, and I do love that!
Just sometimes, it would be nice to get going a little quicker.

Secondly, is there a quick way to cut engines (I am using Neofly and doing missions) and then startup again without having to do too much else?

Well, you can also start from Cold and Dark and get your aircraft running in a minute if you only do necessary steps (this wouldn’t be allowed for real, of course). Battery, lights, fire engine, cabin, done.

Use the checklist of Jaydee, he highlighted the most important steps

Thank you. Where do I find this. Is it on this thread or somewhere else?

here is the checklist King Air 350 (Analog) - Checklist & Procedures pour Microsoft Flight Simulator | MSFS
as mentioned on the link, l recommend the following mod also with it

“This checklist is also included in my INGAME TOOLBAR CHECKLIST MOD, which shows you all of my checklist in a ingame toolbar window.”

Brilliant, thanks

I have a full-size KingAir sim in my garage. Currently using XP-11 but looking to convert over to 2020.

So far, my efforts have been far from successful. For starters, the BATT switch isn’t modeled correctly.

So my question is:
Are all of the switches/controls addressable using LVARs, KVARs, Whatever-VARs? If so, can you elaborate a bit on the functionality? I would love to use this model for my full size pit, but if I can’t address any of the switches… there’s no reason to move forward.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Ok…I need to see a photo of that. Sounds impressive lol.

maybe you can try asking BetePlacebo2 to get a start of an answer, ( he has been working a lot on a mod for his setup) since l m not using spad next or have advanced controller l can’t affirm you all switch are bindable and the aircraft model cfg is huge but l would say yes they should all have their own lvar

Is there any word on when they will release the next patch for this plane?

The KingAir constantly pulls to the left and this should be fixed via patch by the developers so people don’t need to download mods to get rid of the issue.
