Black Square TBM 850 Discussion

Hello, as has been stated by @DDArthur5357 , for TDS GTNXi issues, it is best to contact us.
Does the TDS GTNXi work in other add-on aircraft?

I does work on other aircraft

A few weeks ago, I had some weird things happen in the BKSQ TBM850. I’d hit the HDG button and other lights would light on the AP panel. Plus the weather radar screen often flashed an error message regarding a missing plugin, with “you shouldn’t be seeing this message”.

I uninstalled the aircraft from Windows Add/Remove Programs, reinstalled it, now everything’s working. It’s worth a try for you.

The question is whether or not the TBM was purchased in MSFS Marketplace or justflight.com or any other MSFS 3RD party store. If purchased outside of MSFS 2020 marketplace, you have to copy the TBM 930 file from MFS2020\Official\OneStore\Asobo-aircraft-tbm930, and the TBM 850 file MFS2020\Community\bksq-aircraft-tbm850 TO THE MSFS2024\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Community FOLDER; and then the TBM will work just fine.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Is there any further news on when the TBM will be available natively for 2024?

I recently did a windows 11 reinstall and didn’t bother to install 2020 since I’m long moved onto 2024. The issue is that now I can’t copy over my TBM install from 2020, and whenever I try to use the installer from Just Flight, I get an error message. So basically I have no way to fly this incredible aircraft until it’s natively available. I really really miss flying it.

This is the latest that I know of…

Soon, maybe even later this week. Not sure is only for the Dukes…

And also the native sounds of TBM 850, we have hope! - source

I just got the email - V1.4 for FS2024 is now available.

Do you need the default TBM for the sounds?

V1.4 of the TBM 850 is now available from the Just Flight website. Current owners should have received an email about the update already but to confirm this update includes official 2024 compatibility status along with a host of other fixes and new features.

This will be submitted to other third party stores and to the Marketplace just as soon as possible.

Your Changelog can be found here: TBM 850 (MSFS) Changelog : The Spirit of Flight Simulation

I just checked and it has the default TBM 930 sounds present by default.

That is what I thought about the Velocity as it has a folder referring to the Extra330 sounds but it only linked to it if you actually had it installed.

There is nothing official anywhere which is a bit off-putting if you haven’t bought it yet. I don’t want to have to enable the default TBM if at all possible but the description on the JustFlight site is quite vague.

This made my day!

Same. Going to do a flight after I get home from work. Was only able to test it really quick before I did.

Also same. Been missing this beloved bird for a long time now. Now that she is 2024 updated, I will probably integrate her back into my world tour.

Excellent news! She worked fine for the most part, but there were always issues with the dynamic registration zone on the fuselage (often not showing up but just showing an ugly white or black rectangle) and the autopilot panel was also broken since SU2.

This is a common issue with many add-ons, e.g. the A2A Comanche. Absolutely annoying. I love how BSQ cares, offering workarounds for this. Look at this, A2A

This is fantastic support for existing customers and some that far exceeded my expectations, tbh I wasn’t even sure it would make it into MSFS ‘24. Other developers should take note, yes I’m refer to A2A

I have found that the SPAD profile I have (that works great!) does not work in 2024.

Just finishing up a flight with the TBM. My Spad.Next profile from 2020 is working fine in 2024, zero changes. Does it say this at the bottom of your SPAD window?

I should add that it’s mostly my StreamDecks that are mapped, with most of the panel switches. The flight and engine controls are still in the sim using standard mappings
