I installed the new version but almost all sounds from the airplane are missing.
Nick from BKSQ addressed this on the Just Flight forums - TBM850 in 2024 | Just Flight Community
If you did anything to make the 2020 version work in 2024 (I believe copying the 2020 Asobo TBM over to the 2024 community folder), undo that, and then make sure the 2024 version of the Asobo TBM is installed.

Just took her for a flight that really put her through the paces ( What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 3) - #1211 by Pax1385 ) and she performed wonderfully. There still seems to be an issue with the dynamic registration, as in it just doesn’t show up, but gone are the flickering or solid grey panels, thank goodness! All the systems I tested seemed to work great, including her unique RNAV radio, and I was able to perform an ILS landing.
Out of sheer morbid curiosity, I did test out some liveries and other add-ons from flightsim.to and none of them worked, which honestly doesn’t surprise me. I just figured I would give it a try. That said, I hope we can get that oak instrument panel mod back someday…
So, other than the registration not showing up, everything seems to work great! I am very happy the 850 is back in a useable state. I know that there was a workaround before, but those flickering panels drove me up the wall, even if I didn’t seem them 90% of the time I was flying.

It’s disabled by default now to get rid of the white/black rectangle issue for good that we had in FS2024, but you can enable it in the TBM’s tablet (where you set if the aircraft starts up with the chocks and all that). The dynamic registration worked intermittently in the past, so it’s still an option if you feel lucky.

Yeah! I wasn’t a fan of the Starship as an aircraft at first, but I simply bought it to support the developer, because the Dukes and the TBM are excellent, as were the Bonanza and Baron cockpit overhauls.
I’m glad I did, because I absolutely love the Starship now.

Guys, with the new 2024 version the sounds stayed the same, right? Do you know where to get the changelog? It’s probably in the download section for owners, but I haven’t bought it yet, and it’s also not added to the downloadable manual as usual.

I’ve updated the first five of my TBM 850 repaints to make them compatible with the MSFS 2024 version. I’ve also added painted registration numbers.

Got back into the TBM on last night’s stream. I’m so happy it’s now 2024-native! Fantastic aircraft from a top-tier dev. The only issues I ran into (and they could have been of my making):
- Custom registration number showed in my pre-stream “make sure everything works” instance, then after a reboot and relaunch, it showed the flickering gray panels, which I was able to turn off via the EFB. Understandable that this aspect is still a WIP, just wanted to give feedback.
- I couldn’t seem to find the click spot to close the rear door
- I couldn’t manage to find the vars for the EHSI buttons, specifically the HDG and CRS knobs, in SPAD.
- I had a weird moment about halfway through (1 hour) into the flight, in cruise, using AP in NAV mode where the AP started to roll the plane to the left, uncommanded. Disconnected AP, reconnected and it did it again. No problems after that. Could have been a controller issue, but that hasn’t happened on any other aircraft.
- Radios continue playing the AWOS/ATIS recordings until the end of the loop, even if the freq is changed or the ICS com 2 is deactivated. This might be a general sim issue, but I don’t recall that being a problem before.
Small issues, everything else seems fantastic. So glad to have this officially in the hangar again!

To your last point, the ATIS issue has happened to me on several different planes in 24 so i’m inclined to believe it’s a sim issue

Dynamic Registration from non-native 2024 addons is BROKEN. It is apparently on the “fix list” from Asobo in SU4.
You’ll have to disable the DR via the tablet and use a hand painted registration livery such as TimHH’s (I’m trying to update a few of mine as well)

Wonderful! These are some of my favorite 850 liveries!
There’s a button to the right of the door on the outside and inside (when facing out) to power a winch to close the door on the real thing. I know this version at least has the outside button so I’ll assume the inside button exists too

I had a similar thing happen on the COWS DA40 today. There have been some odder than usual things going on with the radios/ATC.
