No but I don’t see why it would be different. The need to copy and paste the MSFS 2020 TBM 930 into the MSFS 2024 Community folder to get the sounds to work hasn’t been something you needed to do since a more recent patch (maybe the most recent)?
I’ve updated the title of the topic for you! ![]()
I really wish someone would just do a sound pack for the TBM850.
That would bump my rating from a 9.5 to a 10.
Yes, the sound is the one thing holding this one back for me. I hate having to have the default TBM installed. I’m never going to fly it.
FS24 MP - 0.1.4 version in my library and there is another payware version in marketplace… what’s going on? ![]()
I don’t know man, I think the sounds are fine in this. Only thing I miss is a noise cancelling option like we have in the other BS aircraft. The only good thing about flying without ATC on VATSIM is when you can listen to your favourite podcast or music while cruising along without having to change the sound settings within Windows. The TBM is just a hair too loud in those situations.
Apparently an error, was supposed to have been a free upgrade. Just Flight saying that it should be sorted with tomorrow’s update
I could be mistaken, but I think something like this happened before in MP where upgrade pricing followed the product by a few days as a result of an error.
Bought it immediately once it appeared on the Marketplace (I couldn’t buy it earlier, as I often play on the GeForce NOW cloud gaming service where third-party stores are not supported). This aircraft is beyond exceptional!
Everything is so well simulated and animated, including the de-icing boots and wing flex (adds so much visual realism)! Everything is working perfectly with the default GNS530, and the custom EFB properly saves states between sessions on GeForce NOW (a huge deal for cloud gamers, maybe because BKSQ uses proper state-saving methods from SDK documentation). And, of course, all the other features listed in this thread hold true.
What can I say? Highly recommended, one of the best purchases I’ve made! Bravo, Black Square!
I would vote for this. Is there any way to put in a word for it?
Both the Black Square dev and JustFlight team confirmed on their forums that it’s supposed to be free as an upgrade and will be soon.
Just showed up as free for me in MP, was not free yesterday. Activated it in 2024. Cheers!
For anyone interested in giving it a go, there’s some discussion in this Just Flight forum thread of getting the FTSim soundpack to work in the 2024 TBM 850: Please use sound from Bonanza professional | Just Flight Community
Is it possible to bind reverse on the honeycomb bravo without using the “throttle 0-100%”. I’d like to use the “button” below the detent of the axis for reverse but the only way I could make reverse work at all was 0-100% and in that case, reverse is actually part of the axis itself.
Sure is! Set the button (below the detent) to THROTTLE1_DEC when held (or repeat, which ever applies) and THROTTLE1_CUT on release. You’ll want the throttle to return to idle when you pull the lever out of the reverse range so that’s why you assign the Cut Command
Setting it to DEC instead of just MIN will instead slowly apply reverse so that it doesn’t got straight to max reverse which can be jarring and could even damage the engine in the BKSQ plane if it spikes the ITT.
If you are using an app like SPAD or AAO, you can also make the button set a prescribed amount of revers using THROTTLE1_SET. This will more or less set it instantly but since if doesn’t go straight to max it’s a little smoother. Since holding THROTTLE1_DEC will end up at full reverse after a couple of seconds, I will sometimes use THROTTLE1_SET if a particular plane’s max reverse is way stronger than needed and I just want it to go to 3/4 reverse for example.
As always, YMMV and you may need to tweak things to get them how you want them.
In SPAD, you could do the throttle 1 decrease method and set up some conditions to have it stop at -75% reverse so it’s smooth (instead of insta-set). I also have it set to button held, so I can specify the repetition speed.
I’ve already logged 25 hours of flight time since its release on the Marketplace (that is the only aircraft I currently fly in MSFS) - what a stunning airplane, masterfully crafted both visually and technically! And the performance is just great! I can’t tell you how many beautiful landscapes, sunsets, and sunrises I’ve already seen from its cockpit.
Hope more BKSQ aircraft will appear on the Marketplace soon, as I often use GeForce Now cloud gaming when I want the highest visual quality possible in MSFS 24, and this service doesn’t allow third-party installers. ![]()
