Blackbird T6A released

For most of the bugs showing up, they got missed because we tested it in accordance with how we expected it to be used. End users however have a way of coming up with all sorts of scenarios that even the best of tester teams would never even dream of.

Resetting engine flames or using a mouse in VR should be foreseeable
The plane flies great though

All I did was start a flight on the runway - didn’t touch anything. All this came to light (excuse the pun!) from the very first moment for me. I know not everyone has a Logitech Panel, but it’s using standard functions that work fine elsewhere, so something is amiss there.

Engine off, fuel off, failures reset. Texan ready for a barbecue. No way to fix the engine.

Yes,

on other side I can’t imagine other very specific test procedures here so if bug is typical only with outside view visible - ā€˜airshow’ effect.

Anyone else having an issue with the instruments not working? Airspeed remains at 40, attitude remains level, altitude stays at 400. HSI doesn’t move??? AoA works fine though??? Easy mode no failures indicated.

I’ve had no troubles with the instruments when starting from cold & dark, but I think someone earlier in this thread reported starting on the runway and having problems with dead/frozen instruments. Could be the same issue?

Isn’t that the problem that Baracus was talking about a few posts above ?

I have this problem too… A bit of joy killer…

Was waiting for the Huey but…

Try starting up cold & dark and seeing if it works following the checklist.

I tried that too without success…

ah darn :frowning:

No I started cold and dark, but this time none of the instruments would even turn on. Followed the startup checklist step by step. This is absolutely ridiculous I’ve never asked for a refund, but I’m going to on this.

IM DONE. Going fly a plane that actually works now.

It flies good but it’s very disappointing. And coming from a well-known brand…
I do hope for a quick update to fix that.
I won’t ask for a refund but it’s my last purchase from them unless this is quickly fixed…

The graphics and detail are superb as I would expect from them. There may be issues I haven’t discovered yet but I am having no problems except as others have noticed the right main gear/wheel animation is not working. They had this same issue on the initial release of the F4 in P3D. I am OCD about an issue like that and hope they fix it asap. Im sure there will be updates forthcoming, but they have been known to be very slow on new releases and updates based on past experience in P3D. Otherwise their military aircraft are exceptional.

You must be prepared for that,

we have problems also with new 777 from PMDG. If devs will solved problems ok and soon, credibility can go higher.

There are other discussions about to pay or not for 2024 updates.
People confound updates and upgrades. We are used to get updates for free because the devs releases things with bugs.
And threads like this exist to warn people that they could buy a buggy plane.
I’ll be more careful than patient in the future…

You mean like loading it into the sim?

Just kidding!

OK, that gave me a sad clown laugh.

Yikes! I have been excited about the BB T-6A Texan II, but I may let the initial bugs get smashed before I pull the trigger.

The custom view problem is also really important for me.

From where I’m sitting it’s awesome. The only bugs I’ve experienced are the right wheel not rotating and problems getting the plane moving from standstill on the ground. There’s a patch coming that will address those and other issues, and a subsequent update will introduce some sort of very basic autopilot (I would guess in the tablet).

I’m happy with it.
