Going to test it now… I know it is not a virus but Defender moaning about it. In any case a very Firm Hand Shake for this and thank you!
Investigating …
Ok Nothing found here, all as as should be …
please make sure you install this latest patch 1.1.0 over BN2T V1.1.0 ONLY
if you install it to the original Islander it could cause this failure due to a mis matched Manifest
Ok I will install the BN2T Again and then the patch.
A full un-install and delete the folder. Many Thanks
Yes all ok now after a full reinstall. Thank you for getting this out so quickly.
Hi @NightMercury358 and @Fornax4188 I also confirm this behaviour. Seems very underpowered, “sloppy” climb rate compared to MSFS 2020 version
PISTON Islander is being tweaked right now … Look for a new Update maybe tomorrow
That’s what I call support ! Thanks
You’re welcome
Can you let us know when this is out please (Updated BN2 Piston).
Also Many thanks for the BN2Turbine patch for the TDS, It all worked after a full re-install as I said above, but sadly with the patch I have no sound at all in the plane. Not sure what it is, but I have tried to re-install it a few times, and while the plane works and the TDS works there is no sound, So I will just leave it for now.
It’s out now. Follow the link in your original purchase email to download the latest version, 2.2.2.
Thank you for the update
Web based is available now … Marketplace is in the hands of Microsoft
Hi @NightMercury358 thank you very much for the update. I downloaded it but unfortunately, not change at all on my system… still unpowered.
Test scenario:
TNCM, RUNWAY 10, ISA TEMP AND QNH, aircraft at MTOW
When taking off, feet on the breaks, full power, let the power settle at max rpm, release the breaks… and pull back the control column, 60, 65, even 80 KTS, the plane never leaves the ground and I end up in the water.
So for me it is still not working. I have a large video if you want, I can send it to you via WeTransfer.
Kind regards,
It severely lacked elevator authority at lower speeds in -20 and maby even more in -24? i don’t have 24 yet so can’t check on my end. Requires full aft on my yoke at higher speeds than Poh and youtube videos to start to lift the nose in -20.
Yep the plane seems so underpowered. Try it a KEGE, can hardly take off, let alone climb. Just load it on the runway, no W&B changes.
Hi @NightMercury358 me again I think I found the issue… the weight and balance system is messed up and the plane is way tooo heavy. Therefore this could explain the “underpowered” plane. Have a look at the screenshot: The EFB weight says the plane is at 2914 kg, the in game dashboard says it is at 11 767 KG and the debug tool says the plane is at 6504 kg !!! Way overweight. So I don’t know who is the culprit, but there is something wrong
Hope it helps !
Well I know who put the correct numbers into the configs
Something is extremely screwy with the loading system in 24(and seems to not be one of the issues people are bringing up, does everyone else just fly around empty?)
Although for a plane with an MTOW of 6500 LBS, lmao yes being loaded at 6500 KG not to mention 12000kg would result in lackluster performance
That looks like a unit conversion error to me.
2900ish kg is actually about MTOW, which in pounds would be around 6500, just like the debugger said except it was put as KG. And then if they messed up unit conversions again 6500 pounds if it were mislabeled as kilograms converted to pounds would be dang close to what the dashboard is saying, again with the wrong unit, if there were more minor math errors thrown in there.
True, but you would have tested it at MTOW as well I assume? If it really is a unit conversion thing, and not a cosmetic issue, it may have been apparent that something wasn’t right, that the plane would feel massively overloaded even though you are sure you hadn’t.
I just installed the 2.2.3 version, and configured the cargo variant to have MTOW.
Using lbs this looks okay to me, but I haven’t tried to fly it in this state yet, so here goes.
No issues taking off at TNCM.

So in case it’s a unit conversion thing, I changed the sim to the Metric system, and kgs.
I’m not seeing this massive change. Maybe a per aircraft type issues?
If I switch to the Cape Air passenger variant I now see this:
You can see on the pie chart to the right the big change in the ratio of aircraft to cargo between the cargo, and passenger versions.
She’s heavier than she looks, clearly.
Takeoff is pretty much impossible, even at sea level.
I reset the sim back to US, and lbs. Emptied the passenger plane, no fuel, no cargo, and it matches exactly.
Added in 100lbs of fuel in each tank, and this matches.
Another 100lbs of cargo, and it matches.
Added in a single passenger at the far rear left seat, 1lb to keep it simple. The EFB indicates that 1lb has been added to all of the white seats.
So for every 1lb added, this is multiplied by 7.
4225+7=4232
Front pax right works correctly. I add 100lbs, it jumps to 4325, as expected.
Same for the pilots seat. +100lbs becomes 4425.
Both highlighted variants have this issue.
If I had to guess I would say the reason for this is in the “flight_model.cfg” file.

station_load.9 =400,-7.5,0,-1.75,TT:MENU.PAYLOAD.BAGGAGE,6
The bolded entries are all using the same designation “TT:MENU.PAYLOAD.PASSENGER”, so an increase to one increases all of them, giving the x7 results.
Compare this to the Kodiak, by SWS.

Each passenger seat has a different designation, as per the SDK:
Parameter takes a comma separated list with the following format:
weight, x, y, z, name, type
the name is a localisable string
