Having a bit of a problem dialling in the Duke motion settings, in particular heave. I can have heave set, along with pitch and roll, to give a convincing ride in turbulence when flying low over the mountain tops and lesser but still very convincing bumps and rolls in cleaner air. I really thought I had it dialled in perfectly. I was wrong.
The problem is on landing. During flight, I set heave at 20 and max telemetry at 6 and get a great ride through bumpy air, but with heave MT at 6, ground handling really rattles the teeth on the takeoff and landing rollouts. Its as if the Duke does not have modelled suspension travel.
Airport in question is Batumi in Georgia on the black sea.
I can dial down heave MT to 15, to get a still rattly, yet more believable takeoff and landing yet this compromises the heave performance during the flying sector.
I even tried switching off the rumble strip feature in the racing sector, but this did nothing.
General settings are boost at 38 and overall smoothing at around 48. I am thinking that boost might be a bit excessive, but do not know enough about fine tuning yet, just put in someone elses general settings.
Obviously I am doing something wrong. Pitch and roll are spot on, yaw is a bit notchy yet, but I really need to get heave correct before dealing with the juddery yaw.
Any ideas what I am getting wrong? Very new to this. Has anyone else beaten this problem?
Also, I have seen max telemetry settings for yaw at minus numbers on some sources, surely this cannot be correct?
