THIRD PARTY UPATE

  • As of 02/04, we have now approved 230 (+2) third parties into the in-sim marketplace and – so far 134 (+1) have released 900 products on PC (+19) and 599 on Xbox (+24).

  • In total, 1,821 products (+58) have already been released in 3rd party stores and the in-sim marketplace. Beyond that, another 470 products (-6) from 3rd party developers are in production (289 announced, 181 unannounced). In total, over 2,291 3rd party products (+54) are either released or are in development.

  • Airports:

    • 1350 airports (+43) are either released or are in various stages of development.

      • 1128 airports (+44) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
      • 627 airports (+3) have been released in the in-sim marketplace.
      • 114 airports (+1) beyond the released airports have been announced.
      • 108 airports (-2) are not announced, but the dev let us know that an airport is in production.
  • Aircraft:

    • 287 aircraft (+5) are either released or are in various stages of development.

      • 105 aircraft (+2) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
      • 71 aircraft (+0) have been released in the in-sim PC marketplace.
      • 45 aircraft (+0) have been released in the in-sim Xbox marketplace.
      • 158 aircraft (+1) beyond the released aircraft have been announced.
      • 24 aircraft (+2) are not announced, but the dev let us know that an aircraft is in production.
  • Scenery:

    • 576 sceneries (+6) are either released or are in various stages of development.

      • 511 sceneries (+13) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
      • 115 sceneries (+8) have been released in the in-sim marketplace.
      • 17 sceneries (+0) beyond the released scenery have been announced.
      • 48 sceneries (-7) are not announced, but the dev let us know that scenery is in production.
  • Mission Packs:

    • 78 mission packs (+0) are either released or are in various stages of development.

      • 77 mission packs (+1) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
      • 8 mission packs (+0) have been released in the in-sim marketplace.
      • 0 mission packs (+0) beyond the released missions have been announced.
      • 1 mission packs (-1) are not announced, but the dev let us know that they are in production.

SDK UPDATE

  • General

    • Thank you all so much for joining yesterday on our first Live Q&A session of 2022! Some questions needed clarification, so feel free to post on DevSupport to provide us with more details!
    • As mentioned yesterday, we are currently working on the Aircraft Editor and elaborating a new system for missions. More information to come as soon as possible!
  • DevMode:

    • We’re making good progress on the game-rendered-in-a-window feature, which is the first step towards preset layouts for each editor.

    • Scenery Editor

      • We fixed an issue that would reset the camera view every time an object is placed.
      • We fixed the one-click placing of projected meshes.
      • In the object selector, we now sort the combo box alphabetically.
      • We fixed an issue on jetways.
      • We fixed the “apply flatten” feature that didn’t update the floor geometry.
    • WASM

      • We added a debug window that will allow you to monitor several performance indicators (memory, timings…)

There are 27 new and 30 updated products in the Marketplace today. Marketplace updates generally go live on Thursdays between the release of this blog post and 5pm PT.





TWITCH UPDATE

We stream weekly on Twitch.tv/MSFSOfficial! February 11 is National Foundation Day, the annual Japanese holiday that celebrates the founding of the country over 2,500 years ago. In recognition of this day, we will be flying over Japan’s Kansai region, visiting many cities and POIs including Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, and Kobe. All are welcome to participate!
