Boeing brakes hard on landing

How do you normally apply brakes when you land? Do you have rudder pedals with toe brakes, do you use the keyboard or any other type of controller?

If you are using rudder pedals with toe brakes, then you will need to have mapped each of the toe brakes to the appropriate axis, either ‘left brake axis’ or ‘right brake axis’. In that mapping, you short see a check box that says something like “invert axis” and if you have that set incorrectly, the brakes will be on when you haven’t pressed the toe brakes and vice versa. I was just suggesting that it might be worth checking that it isn’t this that is causing you to brake hard when you land.

If you use the keyboard, this should not be the problem.

No, I only use the joystick to brake. I even unassigned the keys on my keyboard which concerned the brakes. This problem arose for no explainable reason without me touching anything in my settings, I really don’t understand.

The same problem here => Boeing 787 Auto Brake exactly the same but the author of the post did not give more detail on how he solved this one.

I have reset my joystick configurations to be sure, but nothing.

I don’t know where to look and think more and more about uninstalling this game forever. Every day there are other bugs and no explanatory solutions to this…
