Boeing speed limited to 250 knots and V1 alert message not working !
Normally the flight plan has a speed restriction of 250 knots below 10,000ft. The plane is probably just following those restrictions.
V1 is normally called out by the copilot, not by the plane.
Thank you ! what is weird I don’t have the 250 knots limitation on the Airbus. ? any idea why? thx
In Boeing V1 is called out by the plane, though. Airbus is the one that doesn’t. (I do notice the newer A350 does, though)
But the 250 knots restriction should kick in if you’re on Auto-Throtte, Autopilot, and you’re on managed Airspeed with VNAV and LNAV active.
If you’re on Selected airspeed, you can select any speed you want, so if you set it to fly at 300 knots, then the restrictions won’t limit your aircraft and will fly at 300 knots.
the 250 knots limit does kick in on the airbus. You just need to set it to managed airspeed mode with A/THR on. If you’re on selected airspeed, then the plane will fly on the selected airspeed, not the managed airspeed with the limitations in place.
thank you !
