I am concerned again that things that are apparent bugs, for more than a year in some cases, are not getting addressed by the development team. I see constant additions to the platform, which is excellent. But there is some low-hanging fruit that continues to plague the user experience, and even after the last development update, we saw some promises on a separate button to turn on or off the Freelook function that broke when Xbox was launched; we have yet to see or have had a further update on this.
Then, we look at introduced features, like the bespoke KDFW that has been broken for months. Being the largest airport in Texas, it has a broken terrain, morphing satellite imagery, and more bugs that I even made a video on to show what users like me are seeing. Then, it isn’t addressed or brought up again in the development update.
Finally, DX12 has had a pesky problem with scenery tiles bleeding through. This is an obvious occurrence that has plagued any DX12 user. As DX12 is now the only way to utilize frame generation, it isn’t an optional feature for some. It is something that many of us use and rely on. It is as essential as having anti-aliasing. Yet again, it does not get addressed.
Why does it feel like we spend 80% of the workforce adding new features to the sim? Yet we can’t seem to take 5% of the workforce to address the blatantly obvious issues? These issues constantly occur, and we are concerned that they never get addressed.
