My (temporary until MS solves the bug) solution that worked for me is as follows:

Run the given solution as described with the code 2047 error. I got this error after the Cloud save error (error code: 2047).

Start a challenge in 2D (not VR), and you will see the points of your result will show and stay in the challenge screen. Now start VR and restart the same challenge. In my case, it showed the points again. Hopefully, it will solve your issue as well.
