I honestly don’t know whose responsibility it is to fix this problem, but more than 2 months to fix the only HOTAS available for Xbox seems like a joke to me…
I agree, it’s a really bad joke, but the advantage of HOTAS One is that it doesn’t cost too much and gives us a good experience for the future.
I’m wondering if the fixes will ever come out, or if they’ll be released before the launch of the Turtle Beach VelocityOne ? At this price, the joke is likely to be even worse .
The responsibility is clearly Microsoft’s . This HOTAS worked fine for me on my PC, it failed on the very day that FS2020 for Xbox was launched. There is a press release somewhere on the Thrustmaster site that says the developer (MS) is working on a fix, although I note that they are still selling their T.Flight HOTAS One without warning anyone that it wont currently function on Xbox, the very system it was designed for.
Sorry, but that would just be wrong information. It works. I use it, and couldn’t live without it for flying.
The only bugs are custom assignments which aren’t that necessary IMO especially if you use a keyboard & mouse combo too, and joystick sensitivity saves which aren’t happening.
It’s plainly an issue, but please stop with the “it won’t currently function” talk as it really does function very well with default assignments. Do the issues need addressed? yes, I’m sure in time they will be, maybe even by the end of the month. Am I sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for it to happen? No.
I agree; I use my T.Flight HOTAS One every time I fly on my Xbox. The assignment issues are annoying but it certainly functions using the default assignments.
Agree…it works fine. Sure I would love to dial in my assignments for different planes. I think my issue is going to be I’m getting used to the default settings when I do play around with it I’m going to forget my own assignments.
Now that I can agree with. I’d love to have my sensitivity settings permanently saved too, but it’s certainly not really a showstopper if I can’t right now. Since the sensitivity setting interface has changed recently we can but hope that they are at least taking a look at it. In the meantime I can easily live with things the way they are.
I also think you may have hit on the real issue here too. People who have learned the defaults are generally happy using them Those that haven’t are the ones crying ‘it doesn’t work’ the most I suspect.
I admit, that was my original reaction when FS2020 was released in July, but then I just learned what the defaults were and haven’t looked back.
The only things I’m looking to change is add a reverse thrust toggle and change my Hat to a better look instead of the default. Also add some other quick buttons to engage auto pilot and some other minor control items. I’m going to leave most of the primary alone.
looks like Hotas issues may be fixed in update 6.
It is possible to get the hat views much better with minimal effort… I followed this guide: Xbox FS2020: How to look around the Cockpit & External View Freely with the Hotas One Hat Switch! - YouTube …have had less luck with a few other assignments but this made things usable for me.
Did you see a ref to sensitivity saves? All I saw was button assignments fixed.
Most of us are not really interested in your opinions , we just want a HOTAS that works as advertised. The failure to retain sensitivity settings alone is a huge issue. Why are you so keen to let MS off the hook when they have not publicly responded to their lack of responsibility here?
Categorically saying that the Hotas “wont currently function on Xbox” is entirely your opinion, a complete exaggeration and isn’t based in facts and evidence. Fixes for the minor issues are coming in SU6 so it’s really time to move on.
Same. I just went looking to see if the sensitivity saves was being updated as well, but i don’t see it in the notes. Disappointing, but glad there’s at least some progress with some of the HOTAS issues.
I live in hope since the sensitivity interface has at least had a recent update. Fingers crossed for the fix though.
There is fixes announced for the future SU6 (1.20.5.0).
SU6 list of corrections.
In the Peripheral paragraph, we can see fixes related to the HOTAS One issues - button assigment and sensitivity (and also the implementation of the Turtle Beach device, so should be released soon). There is work in progress
Wait and see…
I don’t see sensitivity mentioned, just button assignment fix. Maybe they forgot to list it rather than forgot to fix it.
Yes, the SU6 list does not mention everything and is just provided for general information (it is written “This is not final…”). They are well aware of the problems with the Hotas One and we see that there are many points concerning this joystick, but also other devices and even Simconnect. There is therefore obviously a global work on the theme and it would be surprising if they did not take into account that of the memorization of the sensitivity.
In the end, It doesn’t really matter if it’s not on this list, what it is is that it’s fixed when the SU6 comes out.
If I understood correctly, it should be released in October. Still a little patience
.
bonjour
