Buildings much too high still in 1.9.5.0 Patch

Mount Pleasant (EGYP)

Hi everyone,

We fixed the issue for the update 4 but it seems that some of you still have it.

We have a workaround here: Discussion: Update #4 (1.9.5.0) - #530 by MikeFS11

Please let us know if this helps. Thank you.

Hi all.

The ā€œveryā€ tall buildings are fixed. And i downloaded the two Japan files manually with the content manager. I cleared the rolling cache.

But, i still have buildings i think they are to big. Example:
the airport of Valencia, Spain…or the airport on Menorca…
I don’t think that the terminal are so big…it looks like many levels…
Can someone check it please?

Hi Speedy, welcome, yes do not worry you are not the only one.

We have now confirmed the original really tall buildings issue we had is now fixed, however upon further flying, we can see there is a completely different issue of what I would describe as medium sized buildings in place with nothing more than a house taller than a small tree (which was not present before Japan update), very ugly indeed to fly over and we are currently awaiting more reports and insight into this newer and separate issue.

Thanks for the welcome

Maybe the fix from the one user who ā€œfixedā€ the problem two weeks ago still works here?

Empty community folder and try and see if the content manager shows up

HI Speedy, we’ve already tried cptluckys fix, although it fixed the really tall buildings, it unfrotunately does not correct this new problem as my guess is it’s a different selection of models than what cptluckys fix targeted.

Like I said earlier:

OK, will try that, now 5 hours into a reinstall :frowning:

That worked for me. Buildings near LFLB now appear more true to life. Who would of thought Japan related update files would fix an autogen issue in France ! Thx

Well it seems to be only Great Britain that’s suffering from this but…all the way from Scotland to the Isle of Wight, rural farms have office blocks. Here’s a very well developed farm example:

Don’t ask for lon/lat. It’s Britain, all of Britain, just go for a fly around anywhere you like from an EG field. France looks fine.

Edit: Yes, I’ve applied all patches, content manager updates and the fix detailed above.

Same problem in Southern Bavaria with 1.9.5. with medium sized buildings. This solved it for me

Hallo bin neu

The edit I made to the post was made 2 hours before your reply…so I’m unsure how you missed that I’ve already done that. But thanks for the suggestion.

Unfortunately this does not solve it, this however does solve the original problem from what this thread was first started about, however we are now discussing a SEPERATE DIFFERENT issue, please can we now remain on topic of this new issue, as the original issue is now OFFICIALLY FIXED!

Thank you.

As Swoop mentioned, you only need to take 1 flight over anywhere in the UK to see how bad the new issue is. Which I will stress again for certain users, This was NOT present before the Japan update and CPTluckys patch has ZERO effect on this SEPERATE issue.

Hi, what does it have to do with a discussion which title is ā€œBuildings much too highā€ ?

I’d suggest you create a new discussion for your problem.

As someone who flies low, slow an mostly in the UK, this is just killing the experience for me. The heights of the buildings are just ridiculous.

Apart from my ONAir stuff, this is pretty much what I like to do 95% of the time, as a UK resident and traveller, I know much of the UK, and find it super interesting to fly GA over the uk, especially countryside areas like the Cotswolds and so on, but with this current issue we have, Cotswolds which in real life is a pituresque set of villages, with barely any buildings above 2 story houses and cottages, have medium sized high rises and office blocks sticking out of them, extremely immersion breaking. Sometimes it looks worse than the previous really tall buildings issue as that point for some reason didn’t effect the villages, mainly towns and so on, but now this, im so lost, lol.

Asobo fixed high buildings problem in 1.9.5.0 update but only for one time sim run. After restart fs2020 everything came back like in update 3. 1floor buildings Are 20floors…
