But you said! (ATC instructions)

I love the ATC sometimes and I hate ATC the other times.

I turned ATC off…makes the sim feel cheesy

ATC told me to go around twice. On the third time, I landed anyway. When I touched the ground ATC told me that I wasn’t cleared for landing and immediately CTD.

Descend and maintain 3000 feet

Get to 4500 feet…

Climb to 8000 feet

Really? I’m only 20 miles from the airport?

Get to 7000 feet…

Descend and maintain 2500 feet

Guess I might as well say I’m going around…

A proper punishment!

Also is your name a reference to the band Heatmiser, or the Christmas movie character… Or neither?

I switched to VFR flying as soon as I got my yoke so I don’t use the ATC except for within the vicinity of the airport of origin or destination.

I always fly in the A320, I really hope they fix ATC in this, Nothing worse than being told to desend to 3000ft then having to climb to 8000ft then desend to 2500ft …The amout to times iv had to go around because i was way to high on finale approach

That’s what you get for not following the instruction. :joy:

For me when this happens. I ignore the ATC. If the instruction doesn’t make sense, ignore them and go with my gut feeling.

Yes, please fix the ATC situation. Dont tell me to fo to 8,000 feet when I am about to land a 747.

As I have mentioned ad nauseum. Asobo/MS continue to release “fluff updates” with no real fixes to the core of the program.

It’s like this, buy new car, engine is bad, service writer is aware, mechanic changes tire. If in beginning, with all the reports of things not working from beta testing, they had fixed it correctly then, lots more people would jump aboard, now, millions are waiting, because they know too much of the core program is busted, and why get something which is not completely working as it should. I don’t fly because of hurt wrist, my frustration level has gone down 100% because of that.

What’s really bugging me about the sim is how inaccurate most of the airports are. I fly out of salt lake city all the time and not even the taxiways are right. I get the airport is undergoing construction right now, but it’s not even close

Are you talking about the custom handcrafted airports or the airports auto-generated by AI?

It would be auto gen. The handcrafted airports are much nicer looking. I cant say anything about accuracy as I don’t know them that well, but I trust they’re pretty close.

And as we continue to tell you, The World Updates add more scenery to the world, as was planned 2 years ago, because everyone deserves to have their home look like they want, but it’s a big world. And the Sim Updates are where they add functionality that was already planned for the sim, and fix bugs as that work can be put into the workflow… some time is planned for adding planned features, and some development time is planned for bug fixing.

Despite what the world seems to think these days, there is nothing instantaneous, and everything has a cost.

There you go. Auto-gen are… Well autogen. They’re not perfect and rough. But that’s because of the limitation of the AI and its machine learning.

It’ll never be perfectly accurate. It just has to be good enough

The Problem is not the proper ATC with its different Altitude Callouts.
The buildin ATC reads the wrong Altitude in the implementet Approaches.
Many of the Approaches have wrong Altimeter.
You can check that in the ingame flightplanner before flight.
If they would implement the right approach altitudes, the ATC should give you the right altitudes.

Yeah I get it’s not perfect. I guess I’m just used to fsx :joy:
