In the below image is that flight time 4hrs or 41hrs?
I flew this aircraft yesterday and today, but Im guessing altogether 2hrs. So i’m wondering how this is calculated in the sim?
I have flown the c172 many times in the past and it must well over 4hrs.
The flight time would be 4.1 hrs. White #'s are 1 tenth of an hour. I don’t know if the sim tracks the total time for the default aircraft but many 3rd party planes do.
The default is tracking, as while in flight it read 3.9hrs
But overall I am sure I have flown the 172 for a lot longer than 4hrs.

As for the more hours should be showing, do you fly a lot with DEV mode turned on (FPS counter)? If so, any hours flown in DEV mode do not get tracked in your logbook so I imagine they are not tracked in aircraft as well. Not 100% sure but could be the discrepancy you are seeing.
Im on xbox, in beta, perhaps that’s it.
Never really checked log book, will do next time, that I presume will show total flight time with different aircraft, so I can see if it tallies up.
Being in the Beta should not matter I would think, unless it changed as part of the AAU upgrades. I’m on PC so don’t know how it works in XBox but again I imagine something like this would be the same across both platforms.
Just an FYI (and I don’t know if this is the case) but if it’s molded like the actual aircraft the hours will also not increase unless the engine is running. If you do a lot of plane spotting with the plane shut down the hours will not necessarily build.
