This is a known issue: Aircraft External Lights barely visible during daytime
I cannot reproduce that issue with both C172 Basic & C172 G1000, taxi & landing lights are working as expected:

Do you have any specific steps to reproduce ?, specific livery maybe ?
Also do you have all you addons disabled ?
