Thanks for updating your mod so quickly.
One question:
When I set the condition lever to cutoff, the egine is keep running. Without your mod. it’s shutting down
I haven’t noticed that yet.
And I have actually no idea what cause this issue.
But it seems to be this function is in some ways a little bit buggy.
How do you control the condition lever?
This is not happening. I am using your addon with stock g1000. I set RPM to full, condition lever to high and advance power slowly and it begins flashing red at TRQ=1296 and the green arc slowly goes down to 0.
that is what I was trying to describe. Happens at take off and climb. During the cruise phase seems to work and then back to the same behavior while descending
Yes that’s strange. because of the lost axis-support, I’m using the mouse.
For further test, I choosed another airport, here it’s working.
Ok, further testing. It appears to function correctly with the nxi. Proper settings provide expected readings. The default g1000 and the WT g1000 4.1 (non nxi) have the erroneous readings. I believe that is happing without your mod as well so I’ll have to go back and look.
They are using a complete different piece of code. So I would expect that they are different.
But if is so, than I would expect this happens also in the stock version without my mod.
That’s interesting. Have you started on the runway or on a apron?
Okay now I understand the problem.
Can you provide more information.
Which Airport? Weather information? Day Time?
Stock G1000 or legacy WT G1000 0.4.x?
If it is WT then check if the behavior is the same if you switch off the Avionics 2.
Then you should have the EIS on the PFD.
I tested it always on the apron
Okay that’s strange!
I would expect it will always the same within my mod, cause I only provide start information which would be always the same for a given scenario.
So I have taken some test, but I’m not able to reproduce this two issues.
I also haven’t changed the torque gauge in stock version. It is completely the same.
The logic behind the red line of the torque bug is following:
Dynamic red line is active above 1800 prop rpm.
Then it depends on altitude and temperature.
The higher each of them are going, the lower the torque limit is set.
Torque limit below 1300 should only happend if your flying above FL160
Or/And on really high temperature
I also don’t know if the WT 0.4.x version does work with this correctly cause it is end of life.
But it is using stock functions, so maybe it will work.
The NXi does not have dynamic functions yet. So the code for the NXi does not include functions like this.
As from my perspective there is a high possibility that this error came from the logic engine behind, which is not part of my mod.
But I as long as I’m not able to reproduce this, I cannot understand what’s going on.
What you can do is to provide me a save game, when the error is happening, so maybe I get enough information out if it.
All I can think of if you’re starting from cold and dark is that you may have left the Starter switch in the ‘Start’ or ‘Motor’ position, which will cause the propeller to keep spinning even with the fuel cut off.
Did an ils app with the mod + nxi and it lost GS about 1000’ agl
Only plane that did that
Which approach?
I think I solved the issue, at least for myself. I don’t have many add-ons so I disabled everything and started enabling things one at a time. I noticed the correct torque behavior until I re-enabled the Working Title G3000 mode. No idea why this would interfere but it is both in version 0.7.4 and 0.7.5. With it disabled I see the correct operation on the torque on all phases of flight so far.
Try the Islander. It’s pretty much hopeless without modding the AP settings.
I flew the Caravan from EGSC to EGLC last night, live weather, and time. It was pitch black, raining, and nothing but cloud.
The ILS approach was mostly okay, but for some reason very high over the threshold, and I’d never noticed that before so will need to redo.
The cloud was so thick I only saw the runway when I was right over the top. I disconnected the AP, and made a not so elegant landing, very smooth but a bit wobbly laterally. Something the sim never disappoints me with are the visuals. I have the EGLC payware, and seeing the rain covered ground reflecting the lights, and buildings in the puddles, it looked very life like. It made me wonder what raytracing could possibly offer, except perhaps performance. It looked as impressive as anything I saw in Cyberpunk 2077, for instance.
Will try it tonight
Okay that’s maybe possible cause the WT mods share files between them.
This may cause compatibility issues with the G1000.
Maybe I should clarify that the WT G1000 is outdated.
Anyone having trouble starting the C-208 from cold and dark?
