hi guys, I;ve been trying to find out if there is a cure for the “melted lego brick” scenery…People are suggesting the LOD increase to 4.0 (does not change the near model types that still terrible…it just takes these terrible models and make them visible further in the distance…). I am just wondering…is anyone able to play this game (even in very low fps) with the graphics that i screen shotted from the intro?
Your terrain tessellation setting is too low (speculative)
Your internet connection isn’t fast enough
The cities you’ve been flying over don’t have high-quality photogrammetry.
I can say that I have certainly achieved trailer-level photogrammetry in the sim. Most recently in Murcia, Spain. Maybe check that city out and see if you can mess around with the settings to get it looking well.
The sim is constantly pushing 30-40mbps (measured in task manager), all settings on ultra, flying over San Francisco (same results in NY and Seattle). The space needle is crips, rest looks like this. Can you please provide me with screenshots from your machine? All I am trying to find is if this is on my end, or there has been a change on the backend and there is nothing i can do about it…
And btw - i have achieved it as well…first day after it came out. Then it goes went downhill…
Hi @totalnikrypl
Open task manager while running fs, and have a look on the Performance tab. This will tell you where the bottlenecks are.

Thanks mate, running a 9900k @ default 4.7 (utilization 20-30% measured through Riva server…better then task manager imho…), rtx2080, default clock (utilization 80-90%), 32gb ram (hoveirng around 19-20gb usage)…This is not a local issue…i am kind of sure about this…And I am waiting for anyone to prove me that on their machine San Francisco, or Seattle download looks crisp and not melted…
What’s your resolution set to? Did you try the upscaling option?
I found that my buildings look like in the first pic at 200, too bad my sys don’t like it, so I have to run on 120 for a decent rate of fps, lol
Its indeed a internet (speed) download issue. Maybe you can edit and pre-download your local cache on this location in high res. (elswhere in the forum you can find how to do this.)
Precaching makes no difference. As i said, pushing constant stream of 30-40mbps to the machine.
On the contrary - if you look through the forums, people are having these issues more and more. So anyone, can you pleae post a screen shot from one of the PG cities, with or without cache, that would actually look good?
1440p. This is not a resolution or any inside game setting problem. This is a bad model/textire streamed from Azure cloud. Even if i hit max quality settings in the sim it males absolutely no difference
30-40 mbps is not that much, honestly. It may seem like enough, but it likely isn’t. Also, people have been reporting lately in discord that there may be connection issues or Azure streaming issues.
Edit: Just looked it up and the ideal spec requirements for internet bandwidth are north of 50 Mbps. If you’re down at 30… that might not be enough.
Streaming issues is the only explanation to me…Got 100mbps…not sure how to push the game to stream more. Also, when i limit the connection to 20mb i menu…the game yells it does not have enough…
On another note, if the streaming went well, the manual cache would not give me that ■■■■ i get…it would take longer to download. But i get the same thing even when manula caching. Which leads me to a) manual caching is flawed b) something is not right on the azure backend…However thanks for all the tips and the screens! Much appreciated.
