Whenever I’m out of the aircraft, there’s always a “toggle EFB” prompt at the bottom of the screen. Is there a way to remove it? I know how to use the EFB by now and it ruins immersion outside of the aircraft, but I can’t find a way to make it go way.

I also have the ‘toggle pins’ permanently on the screen as well, it would be nice to have the option to hide them.

Yep. If they wanted to put it on screen it should have at least been on a three-second timer so users can see it as they exit the aircraft and then it goes away. This and also the inability to hide UI in camera mode are two fundamental things that I’m shocked they’ve overlooked. People like having a clean screen. It’s great for immersion and great for in-game photography.

Completely agree.
You know, so many things could have been way way better on “Day 1”, if they would have done like with the Sim Updates.
Give the community a public beta for three or four months and THEN release, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2025.
Anybody else agree?

Totally agree. Thats what i was thinking. You completely change the way the sim works, put it all on line, and change everything good that did work in FS2024 , mess with the controls bindings, the default aircraft that were working ok, and you dont even give beta testers a few weeks to test it ? No wonder you will have all these problems.
They could easily have aimed for “FS2025” and released it in Jan 2025 after a decent beta testing period

Please allow us to remove the UI (like the EFB prompt) when walking outside the aircraft. Very off-putting especially in VR.

I agree, especially in VR it’s annoying and immersion breaking. And it’s pretty useless in the first place! Why would anyone think this was a good idea to show that??!

I agree, it’s very annoying, especially in VR.
I mean, there are lots of control options available, so why is that particular one pinned on the screen? Are they afraid we’ll forget? You can still get to the EFB from the toolbar, right?

Unfortunately another example of “Asobo know best, so like it or lump it”. For me, it’s worse in VR as it’s quite near the centre of the field of view, so totally immersion breaking.
And no option for the user to remove it from the display. They claim they regularly use the flight sim, so did none of them just look at the image and realise how bad it looks especially in VR? Obviously not.
NB The tags say XBox, but it applies across all platforms.

I wanted to do a screenshot of the Dornier Do X. In Photo Mode, it hovers above the water, if I want to do a simple screenshot, I have the prompt in the picture, this is annoying, there is no way to do a proper photo of this plane without it showing it’s belly or having this UI element in the way.

Yeah, it’s way more annoying in VR, especially when doing the walkaround inspection and it’s right there in your face.

I’d been meaning to find out what key combo got rid of this since the sim launched, but never got round to it.
I googled it tonight and that brought me right back here. I hadn’t even considered there wouldn’t be a way to hide it - my flabbers are well and truly gasted…

It totally destroys video recording with that label constantly on all external views. We must have a way of disableing it. Totally. Soon!
