Can we please have the option to disable default aircraft

Mee too, but there is a lot of them. Maybe more than PC players and they need a proper GUI.

you’re definitely not. In MSFS 2020 I found the sheer amount of aircraft very convoluted especially since I don’t fly about 90% of them for lack of interest. I would welcome an option to disable them - OR the ability to get displayed my favourite aircraft only.

This should be a wishlist item

Agreed. I would vote for this. I appreaciate having the option to choose from a growing number of MSFS defualt aircraft. But once I tried them, I would also like the option to restrict my hanger to just my favourites.

Editing the Content file so that I only have the aircraft I want was very easy and makes a massive difference for me personally.

My hangar is a little empty though while I wait for all my third party content to become available.

This is great, thank you VERY much!

Now I still have one further wish: is there any way to disable variants of any aircraft? I do not see anything referencing variants of the different aircraft in the Content.XML file other than one line that looks like it MIGHT be applicable, but I am not sure what disabling that would do.:

I get REALLY annoyed with the C172 for instance ALWAYS coming up as a cargo version as default when you select the C172 in free flight. I cannot understand why anybody would choose that as the default as I suspect no more than like 1% of real world 172’s are in that configuration. Almost all 172’s I have seen are either privately owned or club/training aircraft. I do see:
