Sorry, I was not available today.
I will likely be flying tomorrow. Where do you like to go. I like to fly up to Muskoka.
Do you use the ILS at Billy Bishop ? Is it offset from the centreline for you ?
I don’t know how to use ILS…I am on the learning curve for FS2020..
With NO manual or instructions for FS2020 , I was lucky to finally get an aircraft in the air , so far just using basic navigation setting..
Usual fly the Cessna CJ4 …Previously in FSX , the VRS F-18 was my choice for aircraft carrier ops…
Pls make rwy for nunavut. Kujjuuaq northern quebec. I disappoined that the north had very few rwy’s.
Lack of a manual really sucks, and in my own opinion there is no excuse. However, there are lots of Youtube Vids to help out, and the forum on this site is very helpful. I found using the 172 to learn was great. Good luck. Maybe see you at CYTZ.
FlyBoyHart: is from London Ont. Retired so I can fly any time of day. Wanting to chat and learn more while flying.
Welcome. I am currently in Grand Bend. Looking for an online flying buddy willing to chat while flying Multiplayer on MSFS Discord or any other discord. Have been Using MSFS since 2004.
From Pickering Ontario, just outside of Toronto.
I don’t have Facebook - would be great if there’s a discord for us.
I believe someone already has as I have landed there: https://flightsim.to/file/2718/cyvp-kuujjuaq-canada
Following on to the post on Kujjuaq, there is a person creating MANY northern Quebec airfields, and some outside as well. Here is the link:
Thanks for the Québec link ! Il was looking for that . It’s a good site ,well done !
Hey fellow Canadian simmers, finally got my first scenery files completed using default objects so far. Here they are:
CYGK - KINGSTON ONTARIO enhancement:
https://flightsim.to/file/11771/cygk-kingston-ontario-canada-airport-scenery-enhancement
CYVM - Qikiqtarjuaq, Nunavut airfield addition (Missing in default scenery):
https://flightsim.to/file/11950/cyvm-qikiqtarjuaq-broughton-island-nunavut-canada
CYVM - Cape Dyer, Nunavut airfield addition (Missing in default scenery):
https://flightsim.to/file/11951/cyvn-cape-dyer-nunavut-canada
Careful flying in the latter two with the snow making the horizon disappear. Everything looks grey/white, especially the hill at the south end of the CYVM runway, among other natural hazards around the apron
As per my original message, I have some more sceneries coming to add missing airstrips:
CYDN - Nain, Labrador
CYSV - Saglek, Labrador (someone has done this but I will give my version of the site from the perspective of someone who has actually been there in reality)
CYUW - Dewar Lakes, Nunavut (abandoned)
CYUZ - Cape Hooper, Nunavut (abandoned)
CYXP - Pangnirtung, Nunavut (someone has done this but I will give my version of the site from the perspective of someone who has actually been there in reality)
I also have worked on the following:
CYFD - Brantford, Ontario (a request)
CYPC - Paulatuk, , Northwest Territories
CYWN - Winisk, Ontario )abandoned)
CZUE - Cape Parry, Northwest Territories (abandoned)
Nadluardjuk Lake, Nunavut (abandoned)
CYLT - CFS Alert fix (the default scenery is useless, especially in winter with no lighting (don’t ask how I found out)
More to come should I get more time after these! My goal is to create a lot of ex-DEW Line airstrips across the arctic.
Like I told you on flightsim.to, I’m extremely grateful to see CYGK get a makeover. As small as the visual changes are already, it’s already a tangible improvement. Just having the windsocks being at usable locations is in itself a great improvement, regardless of the other stuff you’ve done.
So I thank you here again for your past and future work.
Two more sceneries:
https://flightsim.to/file/12078/cyfd-brantford-ontario-canada-airport-scenery-enhancement
https://flightsim.to/file/12083/cydp-nain-labrador-canada
More to come - and when I figure out how to best incorporate other libraries, they will be further updated when I get time.
Absolutely wonderful job on the CYGK scenery. Kingston is the second most frequent airport I fly to/from. I was gobsmacked when I saw the POI for the Holleford Crater to the north. I know the people that own the farm in the crater and I will definitely tell them next time I see them that they are now part of this great simulator environment thanks to ARH64CDN.
I am actually almost completed a complete replacement to the default CYGK scenery. I have figured out how to delete the MSFS default scenery and replace it with actual light, windsock, runway extension, parking, fuel, terminal gates, etc… I hope to have it done in a day or two depending on real life commitments! Watch for it soon!
And if you can think of any locations that should be POI’s in the area that I missed, let me know!
The only PoI that jumps to mind is maybe the old mill at Bellrock. http://www.ontfin.com/Word/bell-rock-mill-ontarios-old-mills/
I added Bellrock itself. CYGK Kingston has just been updated with a rebuild of the airside of the airport, longer runway and accurate taxi lighting.

Thx. Im hoping for nunavut now…
Took version 2 for a spin yesterday. Great job. Thank-you.
If you are doing more mods in future, I wouldn’t mind seeing Howes Lake added as a PoI to the NE of Verona. (it actually feeds Verona Lake via a creek under Desert Lake Rd.)
