Cannnot create controller profile AND/OR cycling through profiles creates duplicates

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

  1. Issue 1 (Profile Creation Failure)
    In some instances, after naming and saving a new profile, the profile is not created and does not appear in the list of available profiles. This issue occurs across all control profile sections (General, Airplane, and Specific Aircraft), and is peripheral agnostic from what I could test. This occurs both when creating a new profile, and when duplicating an existing

  2. Issue 2 (Duplicate Profile Creation):
    When it does occasionally save a custom profile successfully, attempting to cycle through the existing control profiles using the left or right arrow buttons, each click of the arrow results in the creation of a duplicate of the currently selected profile. This occurs every time an arrow button is pressed, leading to a rapid accumulation of identical profiles. It sometimes double duplicates.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Navigate to the “Settings” menu from the main menu.
  2. Select “Controls Options.”
  3. Attempt to create a new control profile in any of the following sections:
  • General Controls
  • Airplane Controls
  • Specific Aircraft Controls
  1. The issue is not peripheral specific – but the video I will attach was using a TM T-Flight Hotas One
  2. Click the “Add new profile” or “Duplicate” button, enter a name for the new profile, and click “Save.”
  3. Observe whether the new profile is successfully created and listed.
  4. No new profile created, the count of profiles in brackets after general/airplane/specific remains unchanged
    AND / OR
  5. If custom profile created successfully, cycle through list of profiles using left or right arrow buttons to reproduce profile duplication

→ Never had issues with any of them - neither in msfs2020 nor 2024

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?

I’m seeing the same issue… I cannot duplicate an existing control profile.
I’m running 2024 Version 1.5.4.0 (Beta)
Which version are you running?

Having the exact same issue. I just got the sim after refunding it on lunch day and I can’t believe this is still a problem. I am using the latest SU3 beta

Are you on SU3 Beta? Current version is 1.5.4.0.

If yes there are existing bug reports for controller profile issues.
