Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
Yes
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
I lose ATC shortly after take off.
I fly mainly in the default A320 neo as well as other add on Airbus aircraft. I switch to the flight assistant to take over radio comms as we line up for take off. Once airborne, I still hear atc until all I hear is the co pilot responding to atc that I can no longer hear.
I fly U.S. domestic routes, but lose atc on every flight.
I fly on XBOX Series X.
I use the Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Captain Pack X designed for xbox
I also use a generic mouse and keyboard and have had no issues with my peripherals.
Are you using DX11 or DX12?

This issue occurs with all aircraft in sim for me
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
At Various points in flight the ATC voice will stop. I have had instructions from ATC cease just after take off, at the point of landing and at various stages in flight. Also in combination with this, I lose all radio chatter as well.

Flying to Burbank from Seattle, I had ATC until I contacted Burbank Tower. That’s when I lost it. Asobo may be heading in the right direction though. I noticed that, as I flew, when ATC really needed to talk to another aircraft, they stopped communication with the first aircraft and both ATC and the aircraft used the same voice.
The ATC keeps calling out to a few planes but they were not responding. It was quite annoying and I think they should stop calling after maybe 3 times and terminate the ATC services with them.
I have been having the same issues losing ATC shortly after takeoff.
Yesterday I decided to make a few changes.
I completely turned off real world traffic in the options menu.
I also do not run ai traffic.
In the world map, under flight conditions, I turned off real world, live traffic. I kept live multiplayer on and real world weather on.
I did a 4+ hour flight from Los Angeles KLAX
to Miami KMIA and DID NOT lose ATC at all.
The flight assistant, or co-pilot, handled radio comms right after takeoff and for the rest of the flight.
I have to admit, we were the only flight talking to ATC, gets kinda lonely, lol.
So in relation to people saying it happens more often when there’s a lot of AI traffic around, could it be that it’s simply a higher chance of occurring due to more ATC chatter.
Personally seen/heard it happen often on longer flights with FSLTL running.
Yeah that’s the thing. You’ll lose ATC talking to you but you’ll reply. If you open the ATC window, you’ll see ATC sending and receiving messages but you won’t hear it.
You replied to me, so I’m going on the premise that you interpreted my findings as “more AI traffic” as the cause.
It’s not. I’m, literally, talking about how I hear an Azure voice style that is a completely new voice style to any of the male or female voices we hear all the time. Sometimes this new voice is female and sometimes it’s male, but this new voice style is extremely different sounding to those we hear every time we use ATC, so much so that I cannot help but notice it. And, no, it’s not the robot-like sounding voices of non-Azure ATC. It’s a refreshingly new sounding Azure voice style. It gives me hope that there truly is more voice options from Azure that we should be hearing.
As soon as this new voice type is heard all incoming voices via ATC cease being heard. I can still hear “my” or my co-pilot’s outgoing voice (if I turn on the co-pilot handles ATC function).
Sorry you understood me wrong, I skipped this thread and saw people say “when I use AIG it appears more often”, and I simply wanted to add that ofc it would appear more often when the ATC has “more to talk about” with more injected traffic around. I didn’t mean to disagree with you or anyone… maybe I hit the wrong reply button, I’m new on this forum lol
Since SU12, I lose the ATC instructions when flying over Europe quite often now. Before, it only happened when flying over the US. Series X, Western-Europe server.
I have this problem. Xbox Series S, ATC drops out after 20 minutes, but the text still works, just voices of the ATC and other aircraft cannot be heard.
I seem to have experienced an increase in the loss of ATC after SU12. During SU11 era it was not too bad. Super frustrating. I loss both ATC and chatter from AI aircraft. I can still hear my responses and see all ATC text.
So here I am 2 years after this thread was posted and STILL had this problem last night. So I wonder, is it ok to have a half baked piece of meat? Because to me this sim seems just like that… half baked. I guess they will never fix the problem and I will just have to go on with a half baked sim. So sad because I have a feeling that this issue is easy to fix if someone would just take the time to look into it on the Asobo side.
