Is noone from Microsoft Flight reading this thread? There appears to be no assistance from them in solving the problems with downloading the update. Come on Microsoft about a little help.
After 24 hours I have still only downloaded just over 6 GB of the 40 GB, even with netlimiter. We have download speeds of 50 Mbps on NBN here, but MSFS isn’t using it.
So in 4 days I may get to fly again? I hope no problems after that!
Very reluctant to try a complete reinstall, that could make it 10 days before flying again.
@Uzura2203 in my case the file structure is identical to the previous install and my shortcut to the Community folder was still working.
- edit: in fact, even the settings of my controllers were remembered. I just had to copy/paste the content of my Community folder where I had saved it elsewhere to find the sim in exactly the same state as it was before the reinstall. This reinstall went A LOT better than I thought.
I bought MSFS from the Windows Store.
