I turned off all visual assistances and this blue frames still there marking the path I should fly by. I only tried in career mode, so maybe ut has solething to do with it.
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• if you have taxi way marker on only all other markers show
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• happens in free flight - toggling all visual assists in flight does work thru the hot key

Hi, I just ran into these after filing and IFR flight plan for the first time using the cute little note pad. Sucker led me right down the ILS at SFO… I think when I filed the plan I turned everything on…
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• The flight path gates only disappear if you disable the Taxi Ribbon option.
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

I was able to reproduce this. When the taxi ribbon is enabled, the flight path is visible regardless of its own setting. When taxi ribbon is disabled and the flight path is disabled, the flight path is not visible.
The curernt workaround is to disable both the taxi ribbons and the fligh path in order to high the flight path in free flight.
As another workaround, try binding a key or button to the Toggle Visual Assistances Display command. This is mapped to the Left Stick (press down) on the gamepad by default.
We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged
I haven’t checked today but I restarted a mission (from within the mission) and the blue gates and ribbons were gone and only the hold short boxes were there. This was for the following missions I did as well.
Made it a lot more realistic and the Flightseeing missions were more enjoyable. Your score taxing takes a big hit as it usually gives you stupid directions anyway.
I’ll test it again later today to see if it was just a fluke but give it a shot.
Can confirm, mine are now off except the hold short boxes in career mode. Not sure the reason, if it was turning them back on/off or restarting a mission inside the mission itself (I think this might have something to do with it because it would not let me do any radio coms and I had to exit out completely).
This is exactly it! I forgot I reset my Xbox controller back to default to try and get the pin points back for pre flights and it is the same keybind! I now can hit it to see the stupid taxi path it wants and then turn it right back off.
