See workaround: How to disable taxi ribbon and visual navigation aids in Career Mode
To be clear, there are two distinct UI helpers in the game that are quite important in the career mode. One is the large blue rectangular gates (flight path) and also small POI (circle with white background above POI with a name). Flight Path shows exact path to follow to POI. As you fly around the same POI close to you base, you kind of know whey they are, but not exactly. It would be great the hide the Flight Path (blue rectangular paths) but keep the POIs marker visible. When you get to POI, usually the task is to keep the set attitude, speed and distance from the POI. I think it would be a nice challenge to do it without the Flight Path, but still have the POI marker in space centred reference. Right now, both options that you guys presented, and the link that explains it, enables/disables Flight Path and POIs as one, like it’s the one thing. There is not distinction between them. I completely understand this in quite niche issue, and it’s probably my problem that I just fly 2,3 mission around my base daily. So if you can easily fix it, that’s great, if not, not a problem at all. Thank you.

Try turning off the Taxi Ribbon!!
-
Before starting a mission in career mode, taxi ribbon and gates switched off in assistance menu.
-
After receiving taxi instructions, taxi ribbon appears and assistance shows taxi assistance is enabled again. Option is greyed out and unable to switch off.
-
During flight, gates appear again.
-
After landing an announcing taxi intentions, taxi ribbon does not reappear.
Hello, not sure if you resolved or not. Try enabling FlightPath in Assistances then bind a key command to “Toggle Visual Assistance Display” in controls. Using the assigned key command should toggle it on and off. It works for me.
Description of the issue:
I am going to assume the setting in FS 2020 settings are working.
In FS 2020 when you turn on Taxi ribbons ONLY taxi ribbons come on.
When you turn on Approach path then only THAT comes on in 2020.
In FS 2024 when you turn on Taxi Ribbons both that and Approach path come on. And when you turn on Approach path on and off NOTHING happens that I can tell.
I only have the PC version of the app. And I have used this in FS 2020 for years without issues.
So I can confirm the above, both in career and in free flight. The blue gates can’t be turned off without turning the other assists off as well. I haven’t tried turning them off and then requesting taxi ifr from the atc and checking to see if only the taxi pointers come back on… bottom line, just another addition to the long list of bugs plaguing 2024, making at practically unplayable. I have gone back to 2020.
Same here. Acts same way in free flight mode
