Yeah I just tried going under the Golden Gate. I didnāt crash but my engine died as soon as I passed under it.
Iāve tried flying under it multiple times in the past. Sometimes you fly under just fine, sometimes thereās a bump like hit something but it keeps going, sometimes you crash, and this is the second time my engine died when going under.
Yes and yes. Yes its been reported. And yes you can fly under some bridges, at least I can on the ohio river. Theres the valley bridge here in town (Cleveland) that you should be able to fly and A380 under but in the game you cant you hit the invisiwall ;p
Thanks for the input and yes, I did try the magnifying glass and found some other threads such as those linked above. However they seemed to be more about those photogrammetry ones where some of them even have a visible āwallā underneath.
Oh well, no big deal and must say Iām very impressed overall with the VR experience in MSFS. After spending a couple of hours finding the balance between visuals and performance, I can now enjoy a beautiful virtual world with close to perfect smoothness.
I like the idea of there being āsomeā bridges you can fly under but would object to the ability to be able to tell which ones. I would also like the idea of instead of the screen fading to black when you guess wrong, to see instead the image of a tranquil and pastoral farm fill the screen and ācongratulations on your recent purchaseā in flowing script and a bit of harp music..
It“s nearly every bridge which is higher than 30m⦠where to start counting?!
Firstly, may take the Golden Gate. Or Brooklyn Bridge. Oh, what about the several bridges near Annapolis ? Or what about Bridges in France, Germany, England or China?
This is a systemaical failure, you should try on your own.
Its all fake! The landscape is completely fake. I wanted to go a bit crazy and fly under bridges today, but sure, they didnāt really think that people would try something unimaginable like that, right? Crashed into invisible wall under a bridge in a training mission. My plane fit just fine in there. Another fun idea is spoiled. I can only imagine that any gaps, in any architecture will be invisible walls. Will try some other buildings and weird things, but I am already disappointed.
There are bridges that you can fly under. Goto Youngstown Ohio Airport and take off head SW till you find the river, proceed S down the river until you see bridges fly under then no problem, at least untill you get to about 50 mi E of Cincinnati, it seems that there are a couple of bridges that even though they look like the ones you just flew under, they have that magical inviswall ⢠;p
Fly along a road way at 50 feet or so and watch the traffic, its hilarious, you have cars melting into a incline, only to come back out the other side fine, traffic running down the media strip, traffic running down the wrong side of the roadway, traffic running three abreast hogging the whole roadway. Some where in Idaho along I90 I watched the traffic drive up into the air and over a bldg even though the roadway clearly went around the bldg. And lets not even start with the lights over the roads. ;p
