Yes ill be doing it tomorrow more then likely , Since i upgraded got a new mobo and such had to buy a new oem key so.. i was going to install most of the my games then upgrade to win11 pro again. I had it before on my older build.I did not have any issues installing win 10 pro with my current build.
Someone has flagged this topic so i guess i’m not going to get any type of help.This is so frustrating.

When you intitally run the installer and get to that content manager page to select the download directory for packages, instead of selecting the default location suggested, instead use a folder like C:\MSFS.
Windows has a problem, sometimes, with really long path names, and changing the installation directory for packages reduces the likelihood of this being an issue.
There are details here on how you can move your existing downloaded packages to such a folder, and continue the installation in the new folder.

I have been trying since the day the update came out. I’ve so far uninstalled several times and moved it to the default location. It won’t install on any drive fully. I keep getting stuck on decompressing different files. Nothing I’ve tried works. The only AV software I have is Windows Defender and I’m not sure I want to disable it entirely. I haven’t had this issue with any updates to date. At this point I might as well wait for SU8 and see if that will install. In the meantime I guess I’ll go back to XP11…
I’ve defended MS/Asobo since day one when others had more complaints than hairs on my head, and I feel frustrated because it’s a fairly common issue on this forum but I haven’t seen anything from Asobo about a fix or anything else. I just want to be able to use the game. I paid for the Premium Deluxe edition and I can’t even get the update to install. Everything was running fine before. Now I’ve downloaded probably a terabyte of data in the last 5 days and nothing to show for it. It’s beyond frustrating that not a single thing is working.

The sim installed FINALLY however its freezing every so often in the sim know why?
