Did the usual cleared all the files from community and started FS2020 and got the update page, clicked update it got about 8gb then came to pc-fs-base-bigfiles-0.1.142.fspackage and downloads random amounts from 30mb to 700+mb then flashes and starts at the beginning of that file again.
any others experiencing similar?
Yes this is something I have experienced too unfortunately with the last two updates.
Workaround is to download Netlimiter 4 and limit your MFS download limit to about 3-4 mb/s and then wait it out. This has worked for me. Hope it does for you too.
Thank you, I have installed Netlimiter 4 as suggested and i am making progress although very slowly. i get about 22Mb/s normally and have cut back to 4Mb/s and it seems to be getting there once again thank you, i have not had any reply from Zendesk! Regards

Hi, yes I am also experiencing difficulty downloading the latest update.
I am getting one or two files downloaded but then the download appears to loop and keeps trying to download the same file.
I started with 88 files need downloading and, through shurtting the program down at each āloopingā, I am now down to 76 files. So, for whatever resons, Iāll get one or two files per attempt and then the loop.
I have not had one clean install of this program since August last year. I get a different failure each time and usually spend many hours trying to sort it. Not seen this particular one before and have never known any other software like this!

Hi the other reply I got advised downloading a program called netlimiter4 where you can reduce the Mb/s my connection was getting 22-23 with the limiter took it down to 4 and got the bug file I was struggling with then turned up the speed to 16 it ran all night and didnāt have any more issues.

Hi Colin, thanks for that. I had seen it earlier and checked out the website but, to be honest, I donāt want to shell out $20 for some software that I donāt really want.
Experimenting, I feel that in a way, I have restricted my download speed by logging on in Australia, through my VPN. Downloads then drop from 65Mbs to about 10Mbs. Still get the same result - one or two files are released then the looping starts again.
Iām working on the basis that if I relaunch MSFS another 40āish times then I will have got the update!
This is no way to run a business!

Yes not the sort of app you need much, I didnāt buy it. Just downloaded it. Very frustrating, keep at it, dont give up.
I can confirmā¦ This is extremely frustrating. Started with a 4gb+ update. Keep getting āplease waitā loop over and over with no progress. Left it running at one point for 4 hrs with no luck. Iāve restarted 20+ times so far it seems to keep a memory of the update, but continues to get stuck. Cure seems to be to restart a million times until your update finally completes. Ugh!

I didnāt read this until after either, but, I had to kill MSFS 5 times and restart it again before it installed the whole update. At this point, as soon as you see an install loop, itās not going to stop. Kill the program and restart.
Yes I restarted several times and it went into the same loop, decided to do a clean install in steam! Wish I had had the other advice first. Suprisingly slowing the data down with Netlimiter4 did the trick, but a complete install at 18Mb/s took a while.

I didnāt think download speed could be too fast! Iām getting 22-23Mb/s. Next time there is an update I will run Netlimiter4 first then start it, save all the problems.

Itās also ok to just kill it and restart it seems, rather than slowing it down, but do whatās comfortable.
