Hi,
On the PS5 version I can’t seem to set the cockpit interaction system to legacy mode. I use a mouse with the PS5 and every time the central white dot which i turned invisible, does hang over a button/switch the mouse i use bugs out as the game is in doubt want.
For example i want to adjust the auto trottle on the left down side, whilst hovering with the mouse over the butten on the trottle lever the white dot suddenly select for a brief moment a butten on the cockpit display canceling the mouse action and then the mouse jumps around.
Ant tips?
It’s a terrible feature of an otherwise great sim. You’ll find lots of posts and bug reports about it. I do hope/believe that they’ll resolve it eventually.
Meantime, you can turn off the dot. This doesn’t change the behavior but it is slightly leas distracting. With most flying machines you can hopefully find an eyepoint such that as you pan your view, the center of your monitor will avoid the snag-points. The more complex the cockpit, the more difficult this becomes.
In the beta “Legacy” is now selectable. But it doesn’t have the behavior I was expecting. I thought it would prevent any manipulation of a highlighted (blue) object unless that object was touched by either the mouse pointer or the controller pointer (dot surrounded by a circle). But no. The behavior is exactly the same as “Lock” except that the pan-speed of the view doesn’t slow when it encounters and highlights the control. This was the least troublesome thing about “Lock”.
